GrahamC Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I can't say I'm surprised. Two questions, how did Mangotsfield and Yate manage to play on the same day?Why was the pitch left uncovered with heavy overnight rain forecast? As it didn't actually rain on Saturday morning at all, no need to cover it then, was there........

Still, cheats never prosper and they'll be nervous after our recent away wins, it'll boost our confidence having won at BHA, Oldham & Blackpool and no amount of training can make up for the confidence that winning games produces
bh_red Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 looking at this article, the stockport manager didn't see a problem with pitch and lay the blame at the groundsman's door for not doing enough to make sure the game went aheadhttp://www.stockport.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=53534
Guest rogerthered Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I saw Steve Phillips up the gym on Friday night. Why would he go up at about half 9 the night before a matych to work out unless he knew it was off?
Barry Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 i didn't think rovers would stoop that low!dirty cheating sags!
PhatWill Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I can't say I'm surprised. Two questions, how did Mangotsfield and Yate manage to play on the same day?Exactly what I thought, and you can be damn sure Yate and the Mango's don't even have the option of covering their pitches! Points deduction and thrown out of the JP Trophy please.

Guest Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 How much did they have to pay the ref?!If they lose tonight, their season is over. If they win (heaven forbid), they will make a ton of money at the Millenium stadium. I wouldn't be suprised if they watered the pitch last Friday night to get the game called off. Playing Stockport in their form would be certain defeat anyway & now they are fresh for tonights game. This should be investigated!
