I only got it the once today and that was from a Bristol Rugby fan. :noexpression: Who admitted he knows nothing about football :noexpression: .

I've never known so many Gas fans come out of the woodwork as I have today.

All I heard at work was that song about that old tart Irene, and the pub was full of Gas shirts on the way home.

Would they have all surfaced if they'd lost, would they balls.

Worse to come, haven't seen the missus since last night and she's home from work in 10 minutes.

There may be words tonight!

we both have had stick from so called gasheads.

even the ones that don't support or like football.

i had a customer on the counter ( told him to get off it or he would break it ) :noexpression:

he came and ordered his parts that he wanted and on his head was a rovers hat.

i have never seen him wear that hat before.he doesn't know i am a shit head.

thankfully I spent most of today working in Cardiff, most of them Cardiff City fans and no one even knew the game took place.

when getting back to Bristol office, I was expecting the worse but it turns out that despite beating us, still no one in work was admitting to being a Rovers fan

you should of hit him over the head with the heaviest thing you could find

Living in Exeter I thought I'd be free from any ribbing...but a Northampton supporting mate was given it his all, and my Gramps who hasn't seen Rovers in 20 years left a voicemail saying 'we gave you two chances to beat us, and you failed twice'!

It did get suggested to me that I may like to drive a mini bus with my Saghead mates to Cardiff. Unfortunately I have a previous engagement watching some Paint dry.

Must say that on the whole it was good banter all day long in our place.

And as I said to them "Make Hay whilst the sun shines, for tomorrow it may P*** down"

Well theres two people that look after the child I care for. I am City and the other one is Rovers.

Thankfully the child I look after is City too, infact I could have cried I was so proud of him this morning, when he informed me (he is nearly 11 by the way) that he wanted to go to the Memorial Stadium and wee on the pitch.

Anyway I digress. Me and the Rovers fan had a bet between us, we agreed that depending on the result we would have a forefit, she would have to don a City shirt and go out in the street singing "Theres only one Gary Johnson" and I would have to put on a Rovers shirt and go out and sing "Goodnight Irene"

Guess what I'm doing at lunch time tomorrow.

God help me!!!!!! :shocking:

Try singing the right words, but to the tune of drink up thee cider. Not easy I would imagine but worth a laugh

The first funny bastard at work to make reference to it received a look of such utter scorn and thunder that the atmosphere right then could have been cut with a knife.

I sensed that the understanding of ''I think we'd better tread careful today, folks'' was instantly internalised by all present.

So I had myself a peaceful day in the end.

Have had texts, emails phone calls etc all taking the micky.

As above its amazing where they have all sprung up from.... worst thing was after lunch I was in a meeting and some Dr pipes up that she would like to mention the Rovers victory as her husband and son are beaming this morning, then all the half wits there had to have the story explained to them . . . .

Posted

I did have a gashead in school saying "hello!!!" and grinning stupidly at me all morning, I couldnt even swear at her cos the kids were about, so I just got them to give her stick instead.

Give them detention !

One of the advantages of living in Wales (if there are any) is that there arnt any sags about so i havnt taken any stick what so ever.

In fact, it feels like it never really happened.

All the rubbish comes from City and Rovers fans who never go.

I gave these fans a real verbal pounding today after them threatening to thrash us before the games.

I saw a real City fan today in work who was gutted.

No piss taking from me to him, just

Respect.

Your right. My sag mates have been ok to me knowing that ive been a season ticket holder for years and that we actually had proper converstaions about the game...

The so called city fans on the other hand, who have just come out for the derby's got an absoulute slating from them... Serves the buggers right!

So you are saying that all the City fans that have shared the taunts that they have suffered are the ones that have just come out for the Derby?

I think that STH,Regulars and part timers have all had a slating, if you haven't then you are in the minority.

No i was just saying that the rovers fans i know were only slating the ones which came out of the woodwork for these games and will now bugger off again, as al the pirate said... they just had respect for the ones they knew were proper fans

Well if you ever get a proper job after community service, it might be different.

Shame you don't work at my place then rocky. We'd have ripped it out of you all day then wedged you in the car park for good measure.

I got it quite a bit when i was in 6th form centre throughout the day. couple of my teachers had a dig. But most of it all came from 6th form with them mainly being the fans that hardly ever go see there sides (glory hunting prem teams) and 2 that do go see theres when near to bournemouth and blackpool. I'm rather used to them taking the micky so can handle it now, had to put up for it out here the last 11 years.

Just got back from work at what a horrible night that was, Everyone tonight seemed to be a Rovers fan, Everyone was wearing Rovers hats and scarves and even a flag was put up, Such a shame it was put up high out of my reach as they know I would have burned it.

When asked what our excuses are I just said it's hard to even try and defend that piece of shit that we produced.

Not from Sags, but as I work nights attended work Tues in a black mood, and working in an aerosols factory heard endlkess puns about beware of the gas etc.

One Gooner pillock kept it up. Last night he made a comment about Gasland, and I gleefully reminded him that we had only been beaten in ONE cup comp this week, not TWO!!!

IT FELT GOOOOOOD

got in work yesterday morning to find my desk had been plastered with rovers shirts, scarfs and and even a signed rovers football. i was not impressed!!! however, i did give me an hour off work whilst rentokil came in the clear the area.

worse thing more than anything else yesterday, was having to admit to gasheads that they were actually better than us on the night a deserved it (god, that still hurts!)

Me & my boy went straight to my local after watching screening at the Gate .Soon as we walked in got stick from a few gasheads who hadnt seen either game ,no problem since if they cant make it to actually watch there team cant be taken seriously.Took my coat off to reveal my City shirt & then 4 or five Gasheads came in on way back from the game .Obviously a redition of Goodnight Ireine was was directed at us,to which we came back with a rousing We Are Going Up ,We are Going Up .Seemed to take the wind out of there sails because that is there biggest fear .After that all they wanted to do was chat about the game & didnt even take the piss .I did have to admit that we were poor ,but pointed out they didnt exactly set the world alight.

I got stick from a gas ed in work, she said the best song of the night was 'champoinship your having a laugh' so i replied, i think the most appropriate for you and your guys is 'theres only one vicky pollard' i guestured towards her belly she wasnt happy.

Exactly i took it was a compliment

I had an email from a neighbour asking me to go to Cardiff with him. He claims to be a Gashead but it must be at least 30 years since he's been to a match, and he drives past the ground daily. If I won't go he'll take his wife who knows absolutely nothing about football! I hate people like this. :ranting:

He did thank me though for giving them Phillips, he can actually name one of the team which surprised me. I'm going to reply by emailing him some of the pics of his hero that are around at the moment!

Can't wait until they get beat by donny and we get promoted. Revenge will be sweet!!!

in fairness most the Rovers fans I've spoken to have no clue who their current team is and haven't been for years, so their views count for nothing.

still........funny how most of them are now asking for advice on how to get to Cardiff......M5 north turn left at Birmingham.......... :w00t:

Perhaps they should learn to walk before they run. Most of them don't even know the way to Horfield let alone Cardiff.
