Port Said Red Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Someone posted the other day that this guy is approaching legendary status, last nights performance and they way he celebrated with us at the end did nothing to change that view.Great defence work, a couple of his trademark storming runs out of defence and a quality goal were all enough to make him my man of the match. But they way he celebrated at the end was classic, he looked almost drunk the way he was laughing and joking with the crowd. Then when the "Keogh, Keogh" chant started again, he came running back for more urging the crowd to sing it again.Top man in my opinion.
Guest brizzlered1 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 The term 'legend' is used far too often in footballing terms, but this lad is on the way to achieving that status, if not that then certainly a 'Cult Hero'. For me Keogh has been absolutely immense. You can see he that he wears the City crest with pride and is always 100% committed to the task asked of him. Better still is that he is so young and his attitude must be used to have an effect on other young accademy footballers at the club - I just wish we could say the same about JMW.I still remember Scotty Murray at the Council houses singing and dancing when we got promotion and clapping when the 'All hate Bristol Rovers' chant went up. Keogh reminds me of that same type of player as Murray and I for one hope we pull out all the stops to get him on a 4 year contract as soon as possible.
bcfcchris2016 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 good old Keogh, i have always been impressed with him. a great player who never gives up. And scores a fair few as well.Keogh certinaly deserves a lot of credit if we our to go up.
Red_Alligator Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Without doubt the first 11 needs to be built around the "spine" of McCombe, Noble, Keogh, Enoch.
Bangkok Red Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Let's not forget that Tinman signed him up on a free. Credit where it's due.
RedM Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Without doubt the first 11 needs to be built around the "spine" of McCombe, Noble, Keogh, Enoch.Controversal maybe, but I don't feel any of the strikers we currantly have at the club are the answer.
Guest Eddie Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Controversal maybe, but I don't feel any of the strikers we currantly have at the club are the answer.Thats not controversial...we don't have anyone in the top scorers charts!Apart from a fit brooker and Enoch on his day, we have very little threat up front...I'm sure that will be adressed in the close season though
Rudolf Hucker Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I think Keogh is a future captain of our club. He should be groomed to take over this role.Yesterday at Chesterfield he was immense. One trademark surging run out of defence in the second half oh so nearly lead to a goal. He has that "lead by example" quality about him and I agree, his celebrations at the end were very enjoyable and good to watch. It's the rapport that fans want to see from their playersHe's also just an ordinary, very nice bloke. My kids wanted to hang around to get some autographs, after the Northampton game on Saturday, and took photos of Keogh. He was so obliging - made their day in fact.
court_bcfc Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 He has been playing well of late and has deserved to cement his self into the starting line-up week in, week out.Tends to score some crucial goals also!
Slave to the rhythm Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Let's not forget that Tinman signed him up on a free. Credit where it's due.Absolutely correct. Nice one Brian.
