East End Lad Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Just been thinking, there are now jsut under 3 weeks until the Forest game. With it being such a big match, surely it would only be a bonus to have a great atmosphere. Surely this is enough time to make the arrangements to get the East End open for that game?
Collis Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Sadly, it will probably just be overflow once the rest of the Stadium sells out. will be full of families and wasted.
Avonmouth Docker Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Just been thinking, there are now jsut under 3 weeks until the Forest game.Forest could bring 2,000 or 3,000 down, so Avon and Somerset Old Bill would be having kittens Policing that one, let alone having the East End open for the City Faithful!!, At least Ashton Gate is stewarded and policed better than Forest's Bridgford Stand, Upper Tier, where "Home" fans are not supposed to occupy seats where they can gob on, and drop pies on the Away supporters below!!, That would be in our favour for adding support for the East End to be open for what could be a crucial game, a real 6 pointer!!,
EmersonsKev Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 I suspect that the EE will be used in same way as we did against Rovers. Forest will recieve 2800 tickets same as Rovers leaving the rest of the EE as overflow.
beau45 Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 I cant see it after all the trouble there was at Forest away!
Bristol Boy Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 It will be used however, I think it will be used for the "overflow," as per the Boro game. The game should be a sell out of around 19,000, if Forest are given around 3,000 as per the Gas, which, given the relative stadium capacities, is fair, although City could provide Forest with as few as the 1,750 that Boro finished up with. There shouldn't be a problem with selling out the stadium and Forest, although a little disillusioned with life currently, will want to turn up in numbers as City hold bragging rights in terms of away support in that respect.I would be amazed if it wasn't all ticket and let me say for the record that I am dead against reducing prices for those without Season Tickets or for the away fans as we paid about £23/24 a ticket at The City Ground and this game plus Yeovil & Swansea to cash in and boost out transfer kitty between now and the end of the season.
BS10 RED Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 I think it would only be used for a over flow, but it would be great to give forest about 2,000 and give us say 2,000 for there aswell.
cider head Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 I cant see it after all the trouble there was at Forest away! The police lost the plot up in nottingham but in bristol they seem to have good controlaround ashton gate.
