Guest trickytrees12 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 HiI'm a forest fan here and i just came accross your forum and thought i'd see what your thoughts are of the race for promotion at the moment. I say after tonights game this place seems just like the forest boards i use (although we are suprisingly cheerful tonight) After our draw with Scunny on saturday i thought that automatic was very fast slipping away from us. Despite being pleased with a draw at scunny we needed a win. Our defete at home to donny was a massive blow last week. I think that we need to get 6 out of our next two games (gillingham and cheltenham at home) and then its the big one between us and i think (although knowing forest we will **** it up before then) that game will decide it. I still cant see us managing it, we have not been particually brilliant all season to be honest. So whats the view down in bristol, what was the game like tonight ?How do people see the game between us going, to be honest i can see it going either way, i can imagine it being an open game (well i hope so, close us down and we will be awfull ) TomP.S thanks for the result tonight guys
Guest seagull Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 open game city win 2_1 nice to here from you
Red_Mat Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 City V Notingham (Bet you hate getting called that, don't ya? Yeah?! Then don't f-ing call us Bristol!)Don't worry mate, we'll kick your proverbial when you come down to our ground, despite the fact we had an off day today. Now run along and play with your guns.
Guest seagull Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 like to carry on but early start tomorrow keep beliveing come on you reds

(well not too much obviously )
cidercity1987 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I believe they particularly dislike being called Notts Forest. So Notts Forest chappy, you'll do well to remember you're in 4th place, the current 3rd best team in the league might still have a big say in the race for automatic.

Having said that i can see us messing it up anyway.

(well not too much obviously )Alright, no worries, mate. You can probably understand why we probably aren't all in the best of moods this evening though, can't you?!It's going to be a tight end to the season, we've still got to play you, Yeovil and Swansea - all tough games. But we've got the depth to win them. The first against you is going to be the crucial one, and it could be a draw. But I think we've got enough to sneak it one-nil or two-one.Laters.
cidercity1987 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Again i'm sorry about the name, i made a mistake and i am very sorry. yes Yeovil are still in the fight but they have a very hard run in of games and i cant see them getting automatic. We'll do well to maintain the 4 point gap by the time we play you.

After beating Huddersfield 5-1 a lot of us including me thought we would start a run and get out of our poor form, we needed to continue against donny and it was awful. We seem to bottle it all the time and i've said tonight we have been given a lifeline tonight and we must capitalise but we tend not to and that worries me. Who have you got before us now then ? Hopefully getting my ticket on saturday for our game, hopefully you will be expecting a big following because by 2pm last season you had absolutly no food or drink left at all

Hopefully getting my ticket on saturday for our game, hopefully you will be expecting a big following because by 2pm last season you had absolutly no food or drink left at all Crewe away and Doncaster away. 3 points from those games would be acceptable for us, because I doubt you'll win both your home games. I reckon we'll be 3 points ahead of you at 3pm on the 31st but I've got no idea how it'll go after that. Our catering is, and always has been, shite. But I guess the caterers don't have a clue what to expect when 128 Bradford fans turn up for 1 game, and 3,000 Forest fans turn up at the next game. No excuse though, we need to get it sorted.
Guest trickytrees12 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I can see it going to the wire really as long as we don't mess it up. Out of the two home games we really need to be winning both of them. but if we go into the game on 31st 3 points adrift of you then i'd be fairly pleased.Ill go for a 2-2 draw prediction i think.
Red_Mat Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 You know what? I have this strange fear that neither of us will end up in the automatic spot and that'll go to Yeovil...Play-off final, anyone...?!

I have this strange fear that neither of us will end up in the automatic spot and that'll go to Yeovil...Play-off final, anyone...?!Well it would be the two biggest teams in the league and would certainly make for a brilliant final, but if we end up in the play-offs i cant see us managing to make it to the final we are just too inconsistant.
Guest Gamble NFFC Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Welcoming bunch arent youI can't wait for Bristol City v Forest game, it could be the decider as to wether you get automatic or not depending on how results go before it. I'ts harsh to say it but your result tonight was really what we needed (bet you were saying the same when we lost to Donny).Oh out of interest whats the feeling about trouble before and after the game are you expecting it? as i'm not to sure whether anything will kick off.

Red carpet treatment? You're not a big team anymore, remember???There won't be any trouble down here, due to the fact that our Police force will be in all the right places at the right time Welcome to the forum anyway.
Guest Gamble NFFC Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 No none of that sort of stuff, but not to be abused for making a mistake anyone could of made.Good glad your police will be there ours were diabolical and should be very ashamed of themselves, at least yours have had 6months to sort it out.

You will be escorted in and out of the stadium and traffic will be stopped to allow your coaches easy access.
Guest Gamble NFFC Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Thats good then, although i suppose some people from both sides will try, especially our lot "in revenge".

There prob wont be no food or drink but ah well we can have a nice sit dow.... oh have you got backs on the seats yet ?? On a serious note, i hope there is no trouble, our police were terrible in october and i hope that despite what i have heard there will be no trouble on the day
Guest Forest_for_life Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Why have we only been given a meagre allocation of 3000? Your away stand can hold 4500-5000 and you bloody well know it. I went with a City fan to a game against QPR a few years ago and QPR had 4000+ in that stand so why haven't we got more tickets? If we sell out surely you'll grant us the extra 1500-2000?

Guest Forest_for_life Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 ffs, shut up.Good defensive performance tonight I see. Agogo and Tyson are going to run riot .
WTFiGO!?! Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Good defensive performance tonight I see. Agogo and Tyson are going to run riot .Call me narrow minded, chap. I'm broad shouldered enough to take it, but we just dropped 3 point's at home, the East End was again denighed - and would have made a difference, imo - so take nothing personal of my dissaproval of you coming on here and expressing your silly witterings..

Odd since its the stand that houses the away fans.
WTFiGO!?! Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 You all seem very passionate about the 'East End'. Odd since its the stand that houses the away fans.Tell me about it...Home advantage you unless 'they' begin to see...Nothing personal mate, just a bit pissy tonight.

You've just had a shock home defeat to a crap team. The same thing happened to us a week ago to the day.
Red_Mat Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Understandable mate. You've just had a shock home defeat to a crap team. The same thing happened to us a week ago to the day.Yep. Let's just hope exactly the same thing - a shock defeat at home to a crap team - doesn't happen to us again on the 31st...!
Guest Forest Rich Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I have to say that I am looking forward to a good game.I do think Forest will beat City, (or at least I hope so), at the minute City undeniably have the upper hand. You had a bad result last night, but youhave enough of a cushion to do that, ad to lose to us, and still be in second.I mean no disrespect to you guys, but I do hope you begin to drop more points like last night. I'm sure you were all happy as larry when we relinquished our 7 point lead!!Oh, and by the way, the wholenot liking being called Notts Forest, my personal pet hate is Nott'm!! Just think it is so wrong!! It'd be liek you guys being called Bstl. Kinda reminds me of a bad Lily Allen song!!
