Guest CGS RED Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 From 16 dec, thats a heavy load to bear, and much of the time without key players like Brooker and Noble. Go further back to Nov 26th and we've played 29 matches in 16 weeks. These figures are up to and including Crewe this coming saturday. Thats a hell of a work schedule, the training the tactics, travel and just the constant pressure. Then there's the forum and terraces, ever ready to pounce on a minor falter or percieved weekness. After Crewe the squad can actually have a REST and only play once a week, you know what, they may just enjoy the once a week perspective, less pressure, travel and pure physical demand on their bodies. They are only flesh and blood. With Keogh, Brooker, McAllister, Carey and Murray available next week, combined with a match a week schedule, I believe we can get it done.
old_man_terry Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 totally agree, we've been playing fantastic recently and digging out some good results over the last few months.got to be honest though take Keogh, Carey, Murray, Mcallsiter & Brooker out of any team and you are going to have problems, thats what makes our more recent results even better!personally I can't wait to get Saturday out the way and let the players have a couple of days off just to rest, no doubt their bodies and mind are totally knackered, couple of days rest with a week till the next game and hopefully get the missing few back fit and we will be up and firing again!
