Guest Jags11 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 This player has always played the highest level and his experience will give then another strong striking force! They even have a good one already and they are buying another to ensure no weakness in the promotion run in! City are busy putting forward rules how they SHOULD buy a striker while clubs are ACTUALLY doing it. All the plans about the future in the last few days will be long forgotten and only supported by a few if the club does not BUY BIG NOW.Mr Lansdown your future pricing plan will be supported in full only if you spend now to give the supporters promotion and purchase now a Super striker.Today Mr Lansdowne you are four points better for the clubs transition to a higher league with your favourite higher prices The majority of your supporters cannot understand why the team are operating with no regular performing strikers. The supporters will run for your Commercial side but only if you act give us the players to ensure we are strong enough to get automatic promotion. A.K.T.
Nibor Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Alan Wright the 36 year old left back? How does that improve their striking force? We should certainly be looking to bring in a striker and prepared to spend money to do it, but not a 36 year old left back - no thanks!

A.K.T.If it's the Alan Wright I'm thinking of he's about 4'2" and plays full back. Was at Villa for years. Lets hope Forest are going to use him as a striker.
Guest Jags11 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 My Apologies I thought he was a striker. I still believe we need a new strker at City.A.K.T.

greenun Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 interesting however it is his 5th club this season, played 2 games for sheffiled and has since has loan spells this season at........Leeds, Cardiff, Doncaster and now Forest! He's actually a 35 year-old defender.http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=8714
Portishead Red Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 and forest fans arnt overly pleased!http://www.forestfans.net/index.php?showtopic=9925
haggis_farewell Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I'm delighted that Steve Lansdown has the vision not to sign a 36 year old left back to solve our striker crisis, and he has my unequivocal support to make similar decisions in the future.
cheshire_red Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I saw him play for S****horpe at Crewe about 3 weeks ago, had a storming game and overlapped and put in two or three quality crosses. Aye he's getting on but he's still got it.
Chappers Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Well, he has got a better striking record than Smith, but then again, so do most players.
next_year_I_hope Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 got to be post of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bucksred Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 OK so the bloke fjorked up. Fact is it probably would be a good idea to get a DECENT striker in, as ours have a bit of a problem getting/keeping fit/injury free right now. Age don't nessescarily disbar us from signing on loan....if he's good.
