City originally had 3,000, all of which sold.

Roterham had 600 but have sent back 300

That means 3,600 and almost 1,900 empty seats??

Can't be right, surely??

Why are you so interested? I thought you didn't go in the EE these days having grown out of it over the years like me.Been there and done that as they say.

To answer your question - its about the H&S regulations. There has to be a minimun area between sets of fans regardless of how many away fans there are.

So why don't those regulations apply at Tottenham,Man Utd & Chelsea when people are almost next to each other.Have you got a link you can send me because I'd like to read the specifics of the particular ruling.

I'm interested because the club can sweat their asset, earn some much needed cash and not have the biggest game of the season for years with the stadium 90% full as opposed to almost 100%.

21,350 for Bath v Bristol should almost be matched with say 350 seats segregation.

Rotherham can occupy the very far left corner of the EE, near The Dolman to facilitate this.

They only have about at 4 or 5 gap in old firm games

This would be the biggest joke ever if there was a whole block of empty seats.....

What a total load of shi##, It seems that Sexstone makes the rules up as he goes along. WHO would bother even looking at the away fans on such an important game.

What utter rubbish. How come at all the big prem games you see only one line of stewards separating the home and away fans?

:fish::disapointed2se: don't think you have grown out of it at all myself; once a wind up merchant always a wind up merchant

Health and safety regulations are made at a local level. So therefore you will find differences from town to town. Thats why you can watch the TV and see other clubs having different rules.

Where do you get that from and where's the "local" regulation if that's what Robbored speaks of.Show me where it says we have to have almost 2,000 empty seats or a measured distance and I won't mention it again.

Just here........" We have to have almost 2000 empty seats or a measured distance" :mafia:

It all stems back to the City vs. Rovers pitch invasion moons ago. Regulations were put in place as a consequence, limiting out biggiest possible capacity crowd to be in the region of 19,000. (According to a fella I know whose quite in tune with these kinds of matters).

Whenever I've been to FCF meetings CS has always said he doesn't like to put more than 3'500 in that stand because the view at the back is bad and he gets complaints (as its unreserved seating you cannot sell restricted view seats).

Maybe thats the reason, or the other could be the feesability of segregation because while it's all very well to say 'Rotherham can have those 50 seats' - you need to give them access to toilets and catering facilities. That alone means the net will stretch up right up to the back of the stand.

That was lifted some time ago.

In the Arsenal game on sunday against Fulham - Both from London there was no segregation other than a line of a few stewards.

And that white railing they seem to have. Other than that, nothing! Same at Reading.

quite right.. i was there.. no segregation apart from a single low fence.

i am calling the ticket hotline off the hook since 0900 to try and get some extra tickets ... your remarks just make it all so much more frustrating. Absolute pants decision by the club.

anybody got any tickets???

Add this to the mix BB.

The attendance against Yeovil was 19,500, against 21,500 capacity for the Bristol Bath rugby.

The only empty seats against Yeovil, so far as I could see, was the segregation block, which I counted at 20 wide and 50 deep, total 1,000.

So 21,500 less 1,000 = 19,500, unless I'm missing something.

True to say there were a few empty seats in the corner against Yeovil, but that would be compensated for by TV cameras taking some seating space for the rugby.

By the way, don't know why you give Robbored the time of day, he's either an idiot or just on here to wind people up.

So far as CS' comment that he does not like to sell more than 3,500 becuase the view at the back is bad, that's just rubbish. I've stood right at the back of the EE, the view is fine, and even if it wasn't, if punters are told the view is less than perfect when purchasing their tickets, it's their choice whether they buy.

I think CS' real reason is something he mentioned at a SL/CS Q&A session at which you and I were both present - he mentioned something about the difficulty of getting 5,500 in and out of the EE safely - not that we managed more than that number, stood up, for 50 years without a single serious safety incident. :farmer:

As Tony Hancock once said "Bureacracy gone mad" :disapointed2se:

There is no earthly reason why the crowd shouldn't be 20,500 on Saturday. That's still 850 below capacity.

ERRRRR... YOU SURE ARE MISSING SOMETHING UNLESS U R AVIN' A LAUGH... 21500 - 1000 = 20500. ERRRR. ARE YOU COLIN SEXSTONE BY CHANCE?!!!! :winner_third_h4h:

That was kindof his point - the numbers don't add up (or in this case, subtract....)

Errrr..... well spotted Sherlock! Do they not have irony in Cuba?

Yes, 21,500 less 1,000 = 20,500, but at Ashton Gate it appears to = 19,500. :farmer:

BTW, spent 5 days in Havana last year, fascinating place.

Nick, I know you can make those numbers work - you are an accountant after all ;)

the Rotherham contingent will get attention if the unthinkable happens, sad to say.

Can't see that and I'm far from naive.

Apparently they have now sold 157 tickets and that may well include some local Forest Fans who can't get tickets for the City Ground on Saturday if you believe some of the stuff on this site & rivals which I normally wouldn't when it is of this nature.

After viewing the official site I'm even more confused:

Dolman 6,195

Williams 5,553

Atyeo 4,249

Wedlock 5,500

Official Capacity 21,497

Sat

Dolman, Atyeo & Williams Sold Out 15,997

EE According to Official Site 4,000 City 19,997 Plus 157 Rotherham = 20,154

City say 19,200 So where's the other 954??

Rotherham returned 200 Tickets and City created another 100 for the 300 that sold this morning.

Rotherham originally had 600 & City 3,000 for the EE that means they still have 400 so the gate could be 20,154 + 400 20,554

I think the clubs 4,000 for the EE is actuallly closer to 3,300 which would account for 700 of the "missing tickets" add Rotherhams 400 that theyhaven't sold and you've got 1,100.

20,154 - 1,100 = 19,054 which is a lot closer to 19,200.

If I'm, wrong I'll apologise, but that's how it looks to me.
