tin
Hope's dashed... again!Kris Commons has agreed a one-year contract to stay at Nottingham Forest.Skysports.com revealed last week that Commons had decided to stay and Forest have now confirmed the news."Colin Calderwood and myself met today with Kris` representatives and we can now confirm he has agreed to sign a one-year extension to his current contract," chief executive Mark Arthur told the club's official website.Commons' contract expired over the weekend and Forest were keen to tie him to a new three-year deal.He decided instead to put pen-to-paper on a 12-month agreement but manager Colin Calderwood will nevertheless be thrilled.Commons scored nine goals in 32 appearances last term and had attracted the attention of several Championship clubs. There was even speculation that Commons could secure a move to the Premiership.
