Nibor
We have been nicking games by the odd goal mainly from set pieces all season. It should be no surprise that things get tougher at the business end, all of the top clubs are finding the same. The last few games could have easily gone either way hinging on a few key incidents. We CAN take enough points from the final 6 games to stay in automatic, and now is just not the time for anything other than being positive. SimplyRed
I'm still not convinced Me neither. Because of how we've played and where we are at this stage of the season, there is no doubt that this will be our best (and perhaps our ONLY) chance of promotion. We don't have the firepower to make it through the playoffs and should we fail, I don't think next season's CCC will find us challenging, but rather more like what we were expecting this season. Now everyone is saying "Hey, all we have to do is beat Norwich next week and everything will be rosy again". Really? Wasn't that what we were saying about Cardiff? And about Plymouth before that? We've had a great season but our lack of firepower is starting to hurt us. Yes, we're second, but we're not on the crest of the wave any more, but rather on the root like a surfer waiting for the wipeout. How much longer can we rely on the other teams results to go our way? Unless Johnson can resolve our striking stagnation, then I fear promotion will be a bridge too far.

And with Preston at home on the last day of the season? Well most of us were there a few years ago when Preston went up as champions and both sets of fans were on he pitch shaking hands with one another. Could the same scenario happen, this time with us as champions? Yes, it bloody well could. We've got a 'new' striker, Brooker can be the hero. COME ON YOU REDS! Both sets of fans respected each other, and was a great laugh as it should be. I was in hospitality that day, and bought a bottle of champers for the Preston fans near us. Guest Shadow
Shadow. That post has freaked me out. Remember when Preston came to the Gate on May 4th as their promotion party. At the end of the game, City fans rushed over to them, yet was no nasty problems at all. Both sets of fans respected each other, and was a great laugh as it should be. I was in hospitality that day, and bought a bottle of champers for the Preston fans near us. Exchanged mobile No,s and all went home happy. Fellow (preston fan)text me on fri to say he has booked a table for 6 for our final game, and would love to honour us with a bottle of promotion champers!!!!! Scary Bloody hell Arn I didn't realise the last one was May 4th also. Well, meant to be then innit. Spooky.

Spooky. Scary fellow scary. But perhaps its how it should be? Well all of us hope so. If we "ONLY" make the playoffs, then if any disgruntled City fans cross my path, i swear i will :noexpression: Fantastic season, simple as mucker
Seend Red
I'm as Red as the next person on here but lets be honest we've missed a massive opportunity over the past few weeks to cement our place in the top flight of English football, whilst Charlton,WBA,Stoke & Watford have all been dropping points left right and centre we seem to of caught the same habbit as every other team that reaches the summit and also lost form and the ability to win games! Just to think what could of been..... I can only hope now that we win at least a couple more to ascertain a place in the play offs as missing out on that really would be a kick in the knackers after being in the top 6 all season. To go up in the top 2 I would suggest we now need to win 5 of the last 6 which is very unlikely with our serious lack of fire power and current form.
