Trains from Bristol to Southampton normally only have to coaches.... so most will have to stand

When I booked the guy asked me if I wanted to reserve seats!??! I told him it would be unlikely but admired his ability to stick to script! We're on the 11:24 and its going to be mayhem but as long as we've got a few tins and a sing song expectations will be met

I get the Cardiff to Southampton/Portsmouth trains semi-regularly during the week and in 3 years I've never seen a buffet car on the service, plus it's usually no more than 4 carriages at most.

Why would we need a food cart? it's less then 2 hours! Just take a few tins.

I got a saver return so may jump on the 07:06 from Park Way. Time for a breakfast then.

Exactly, especially when my local Threshers is doing four cans of Natch for £2.99! That's a minimum four cans for the journey.
