Guest Bristoliain
my sentiments exactly- just forget saturday happened, it was just a blip on what has been an awesome season to be a city man/woman. we have wolves on saturday and its a game we can win 90% of the time. on top form and with our frequent slivers of luck, we can win ALL of our games left. sho I'm proposing to begin to gee yourselves up and be ready to sing yor lungs out on saturday. remember- rather be a robin than a sag. :Believe: :Believe: :Believe:
Squeak
I'll agree that our season has been a terrific sucess but yesterday was just so poor. It's understandable for anyone who was there to be angry, the perforamance on and off the pitch was awful. Hopefully things will improve.

bcfc_4_life
The result hurts no doubt about it. but the season is FAR from over! The team needs SUPPORT. We all need to pull together show the team that we believe in them we have to sing for the whole match we can't just go quiet when we are losing. If we all pull together and get behind the team anything is possible. Come on folks please to god lets get some bloody positives going and not stop believing because we lost we still have 12 points to win and we CAN do it!!!!! The players have to do the rest. I will continue to back the team until the final kick of the ball at the end of the season. I'm sure the majority of city fans feel the same, just dejected from yesterdays performance. Lets hope we are all happy this time next week with a convincing win against Wolves

Yes we are top of the league - how is a mystery to me. The fact our goal difference is 0 speaks volumes. I have been to nearly every home and away game this season and i would say that 70% of the games i have come away thinking "how the hell havent we been beaten heavily". We have nothing in midfield and nothing up front and here is a fact to prove it: we have only scored twice in open play since the middle of February (we are now in the 2nd week of April!)! Based on this, unless we sign an attacking midfielder to replace Carle, noble and lee johnson, a winger who can cross a ball and an ENTIRE strike force we WILL be relegated next season - be it from this league or the Premier League if we go up. I am sorry if this is negative guys but the facts support my arguement. I will cheer the lads on until the very end and i will be at every game from now until the end. However, in the summer we need to clear out the dead wood if we are to progress as a football club. BTW - I have followed this club through thick and thin, home and away for 20 years so please don't question my commitment!!!

Guest Tim K
But surely on this logic we should have been relegated this season? Damn good point. If we're so cr*p, just exactly how have we been in the top six nearly all season? Oh...silly me....it's because this division is so poor this season...and next season everyone else will be dynamite...except us of course. :noexpression:
Keep the Faith
I think the thing to be most excited about is that even if we don't finish in the top 2 the likelihood is that we will have the playoffs to look forward to and who amongst us can honestly say they don't absolutely love the playoffs?! dezgimed
don't forget folks that we've been riding the crest of a wave so far, high from last years success. We are currently doing exactly as other recently promoted clubs have done. Although we've stayed top longer than Plymouth, Cardiff and Colchester managed. Question is, do we do a Wigan (were top with 10 games to go then finished 7th) and get top spot a year later or do a Colchester whereby we struggle. Our current form suggests we've been found out and that form next season will see us down. This season we have been light years away from the level Norwich, Wigan and Reading reached when they got promoted. Scarily far away.
tin
I think that everyone's feeling the pressure of it all - fans, players, management and the board alike. All of us are in this together and to the 3,200 of us that witnessed that debacle on the South Coast, I think we've got reason to be hurting about it. We've had a tremendous season and that result has really shaken people, myself included. I don't think it's helped GJ saying we need 'x' amount of wins from 'x' amount of games to get promotion as we've played shite ever since. What happened to taking each game at a time and not looking further than that? That is after all what's got us here in the first place. I also don't think it's helped with Lansdown coming out and saying we'll have £30m to spend if we go up. Players would've read that and probably thought the majority of us are going to get bombed out if we go up. How's that going to help with 6 games to go? Everyone who was down there on Saturday should be hurting at being associated with a performance, on and off the pitch, like that. Many lessons need to be learned very quickly if we're going to salvage anything from this season IMHO.

How fickle are people on here... ..Last week it was all about what we'd spend, who we'd buy etc in the prem. One game later and we have been found out and we are going down. Perhaps we need a couple of days this week to lick our wounds and then prepare for the next game by being more positive. We arent out of Auto yet and worst case is probably playoffs.....someone has to win it, why not us? (what ever happend to 'in Johnson we trust'?) Our current form suggests we've been found out and that form next season will see us down. It's a good question, Wigan where able to keep their squad together and build, whereas Colchester lost alot of players and had to rebuild, Interestingly we have ALOT of players out of contract at the end of the season. Basso, Orr, McAllister, Keogh, LJ, Noble, Murray, Russell, Weale, Byfield and no doubt a few others. Bar Basso and LJ, I'd not be too bothered about losing any of them as long as they are replaced suitable, but the main concern is HOW they are replaced. Regardless of promotion it's going to be an interesting summer as whatever league we are in, there is going to be some rebuilding work needed. Theres nothing fickle about it, we can still be top and go up whilst playing poorly (like now?). If we win against Wolves we will still talk about new players etc. Our current form shows we are struggling, I said IF we carry that form on we will go down. Just a fact.
