BS3_RED
Ok this season has been great so far and to be on 70 points in our first season is awsome. I think automatic is going to be a little out of our reach but one more win and we will be in the play offs where anything can and will happen. Now i hope we go up as much as everyone else but also have no problem with being in the Championship next season. After spending nearly a decade trying to get out of League 1, i can easily spend a few seasons in the Championship building a team for the real assault on the Prem. Now with that in mind, if we are still in the Championship next season what players would you like to see brought in to the club ( lets not talk about players leaving untill the season is over). For me i would start with Leeds and Forest and take Commins on a free and have a go for Beckford. I wouold also look at the teams that get relegated from the Championship, like if Barnsley go down i would have a pop for Howard. We will now also be able to attract players from other Championship clubs, as last summer most people had us down as relegation candidates, this summer we wont be. So here is looking forward to a good summer, no matter what division we are in.
Bristol Boy
Our timid acceptance of doing OK is the very reason we were/have been, in the doldrums for so long. When, not IF, IMHO, we start next season in the CCC, without a real influx of quality,we'll have a realy tough time. Expectation has risen and we're expected to do better by fans & media.Other teams won't make the same mistake of underestimating us this time around. Our better players will be coveted by bigger clubs in the CCC and that'll make it more difficult/expensive to hold onto them and could well unsettle them. That's the reality of where we are and not winning promotion.

Henry
Our timid acceptance of doing OK is the very reason we were/have been, in the doldrums for so long. Do you really believe that? City fans are known for being hard to please. I thought the reason we were in League 1 for so long, was poor management and piss head players who weren't commited enough. I agree with you there, we will need to improve our squad just to hold water next season and with the same squad i feel we would be top 10 at best. So what players would yopu go for BB? Thats what i am asking.

mcbcfc
lisbie & johnny jackson from colchester, souza and campbell-ryce from barnsley. Having just watched Barnsley in the cup no thanks to campbell-ryce Having said that I think should we not go up which I believe we still can :Believe: It would take 3-5 million to get a side together that would improve what we're doing now. For a start we'll need 2 strikers !!!!! A mass clear out whatever division we're in is extremely likely so the new people coming in have to be better than those going out not always easy to find. Personally I'ld test Peterbourgh's ressolve with a bid for Mclean, Martin Paterson from Scunny, Tyson and Commons from forest, Howard should Barnsley go down are all player who could be avaliable and imo improve our squad. But keep believing

Alex_BCFC
Lisbie would be a good signing as I've said before. Going to be much tougher next season I reckon...but you never know...
Henry
We need a proper right winger who can actually put in a decent cross. Not some elf who runs around in circles like a headless chicken.
Guest Socrates
I'd be looking at Derek Riordan from Celtic. He'd love to get regular football and is a great finisher. Would put a good ball in if he got wide also. Would also like to see us have a look at Kevin Lisbie.

Guest Socrates
Is that you Brizzlered? Nope. I live up in Scotland so see as much of Derek Riordan as Gordon Stachan lets everyone see. Clearly a very good finisher who would score goals in the Championship. Played great when he was at Hibernian (when people come back with comments about Sproule, Ivan had one amazing game against Rangers and then went onto be exactly what he has been at Ashton Gate) and Strachan obviously doesn't fancy him. If Johnson makes a bid for him, I'll personally give Riordan a piggy-back all the way to Bristol!
Maltshoveller
More than anything We need a centre midfilder who can play in a 4-4-2 along side Elliott

Games at Ipswich, WBA, QPR and yesterday at Southampton proved that beyond doubt. Team ethic can only get you so far but if we had that extra bit of quality this year, we'd be up by now.
