enever
i read this board everyday, but have not posted for years mainly due to forgetting my login password! however i have finally created a new account and anyway, just thought i would kick things off by posting this very intersting, but almost april 1st-esque rumour that a mate just pointed out to me! i can't believe a word of it is true, especially due to the fact DAS have already signed up for next season, but it does make you wonder! how interesting it would be to have a banksy graffiti on the shirt! surely shirt sales would rocket and the clubs media attention soar even more...even into America where he is so popular. I'm not saying we want to have random people suddenyl supporting us who have'nt a clue and couldnt really care less about the club, but imagine Brad pitt being snapped by the Paps in hollywood in a "mystery" football shirt!! http://www.canvastown.com/Banksy-to-sponso...-million/B5.htm hope the link works

Red Ferret
Noone else seem to smell bullshit? I don't believe it for a minute, and who the hell is banksy? Banksy is a street graffitti artist from Bristol whos making waves in the art world...you might have seen some of his stuff round town or on the news He's got a bit of money in the bank considering hes been recently selling his stuff to a whole bunch of LA celebs like Brad Pitt , and hes a lifelong City fan so there may be some truth in a City sponsership deal Though he is a notorious publicity seeker so I wont believe it untill I see it! You can see some of his stuff on here... http://www.banksy.co.uk/outdoors/horizontal_1.htm
cider head
You can see some of his stuff on here... http://www.banksy.co.uk/outdoors/horizontal_1.htm A few of those would look good on the back of the EE wall well time they knock it down the wall would raise a few bob with that stuff on it.. Red_Mat
Come on, this is a p!$$ take! I mean, as great as it would be to have some Banksy art on our shirts, the report makes it sound like he's only doing it for promotion in the Far East and anyone who knows his work will know he's not remotely interested in all that. Banksy isn't about making money - he's a proper artist! To him, art isn't a career to further by promotion through a football club which he can opt out of if we get relegated! I'd love to see him do a massive mural on the side of the new stadium, though...

Guest gizmo666
Just the association with Bansky gives us a little kudos... I m mean it's got a little more meaning than Baldric and The Wurzels... Gives us a slightly more contemporay edge... This is Boll'Xs though... But a few rats with city shirts scurrying behind the away end and crawling into the away players dressing room armed with explosives would bring a smile... BS3 Bemmy
what about the other well known Bristolian graffitti artist!!.... Lewisdebaron??? Banksy is the only famous graffitti artist in Bristol, at least his work is art as in pictures, and not just going around Bemmy defacing walls with his name.Where is the art in that. Cameron Ballons mural was defaced by this person by writing his name all over it, probably because he was jealous of the mural because he could,nt draw it, if he can draw tell me where there is a picture painted by him. BS3 Bemmy
Seek in Bristol and Ye shall find...... Fornicators !!!!!!!! ..... & A pretty enlightened Teddy Bear..... Thanks Red Goblin, I've seen Banksy's work around Bristol, i just hav'nt seen any art work created by this 'Lewisdebaron' person, the only thing he can do is write his name on walls. Guest
what about the other well known Bristolian graffitti artist!!.... Lewisdebaron??? Personally I think he's the biggest cock in the entire City of Bristol. And yes I just broke the forum rules, but it was worth it because anyone who goes around and writes there name in enamel paint over the top of stuff like that by Cameroon balloons is a complete and utter ****. Well said Tom, this is exactly my point, the guy is a moron. He can not paint art work he can only write his name and deface Bemmy with it.It makes me sick everywhere you go you see his name.I see that Cameroon Ballons mural at least 4 times a week, it makes me so angry everytime i see it.
