Guest walshy-shuffle-carl-shutt
As i have done this post for the last few weeks i thought again would be good to put it up early as i can hardly contain myself. I have always said this is a game we can and will win. I was more concerned about Wolves. So my Prediction is Stoke 0 2 Bristol City Brooker 15mins Carey 49mins We will have too much for them. Our defence will contain the main threats and balls into the box. I think being away will take pressure off of us.

Red Zeppelin
Stoke 1 - 2 City City to score midway through first half. Stoke to reply ages later, between 60-80 mins with Fuller, or maybe Lawrence. City to score late winner.

CiderSomerset
At least somebody is being realistic! All depends on the first 20 minutes for me. If we can get stuck in, put them under pressure and pass the ball around like we know we can, then I think we'll win. If we let them boss the game we are going to struggle.. Hopefully it will be Sjoke 1 - City

Guest MightyRed
How good would it be to get an early couple of goals. Silence the Brit, and give us home advantage with a good cider-sing-song.
mossey
Sorry can't see a win Stoke City 3 Bristol City 1 fraid got to agree, our form lately has been terrible, and where's our goals going to come from? bit factor is on the team Johnson selects,we know how stoke are going to play, so think we need vasko at the back, did well against watford. And now Jamie mac been in the paper saying we are up for it and pressures on Stoke, you just know every time a player says things like this, we're going to lose with a poor performance, McIndoes been doing it recently and turning in poor performances, the best though, used to be phillips with his comments, lets make this fortress ashton etc only then to go and lose 3-0, why do they do it, wish they would just say nowt go out there, put in a good game and win! sorry rant over
Mighty Squirrel Kingdom
A good start is vital. We've not scored in the first half of an away game since Liam Fontaine's goal against Wolves, but six of the eight goals Stoke have conceeded in their last six home games have been in the first half, including a couple in the first ten minutes. I know it's a statement of the bleedin' obvious, but the longer we can keep them from scoring the more chance we have of winning. Statistically Stoke are at their most dangerous in terms of scoring goals at the end of each half - 40% of their goals in their last six homes have been within the last five minutes of each half. When you measure that against three of the six goals we've let in during our last six aways have come within ten minutes of the end of either half it starts to look worrying from our point of view. The numbers seem to suggest: Stoke City (1)1 (Liam Lawrence 37) Bristol City (0)1 (Dele Adebola 65) Which seems reasonable, only I'm absolutely not in the mood for reasonable today. We've not won up there in the league since October 1959 and considering some of the records that have fallen this season (Plymouth winning at AG, losing to Cardiff etc.) it's time one of these runs went our way.
