Why Are People Giving Up On Our Chances?

People are making posts on this forum talking like we have no chance of even reaching the play offs?

Well here's a reality check. We have 2 games left. We need one win to secure a play off spot (if that?)

I'll admit that we aren't in the best of form at the moment, but we have 2 games to change that, and if we nick a win up at Sheffield next week then our fortune might change again.

Obviously this is a disappointing time because we've blown the best chance of automatic promotion to the top flight in many years, but there is NO point in writing them off at this stage, the play offs are a lottery and everybody knows that.

We need one last push because we STILL have a chance of promotion, but anyone on this forum wouldn't know it after what is being said!

Because the facts speak for them selves lets face it our playoff record is poor, you need a team in form Palace love hate em .Can you honestly see us turning them over on current form, sorry but our main chance has gone the top two is beyond us W B A ,STOKE,+ A N OTHER.Keep saying this is why we have never won jack s##t we settle for oh didn't they do well another glorious failure. Before i get slated i have bought my season ticket i love this club i want us to stuff it up our critics ,bottlers is often a term used by non City fans normally West country MAN UTD,CHELSEA,ARSENAL fans. Yes its been a great season but this loyalty to some players who clearly aren't good enough has to stop,£30 million is not going to be spent staying in this division but there has to be a clearout or like many others i fear for next season.

I'm not stupid. I know we need a club in form for promotion. But then again, if we all gave it just one last push in these last 2 games to finish 4th or 3rd then we'd have the 2nd leg at home, and then we can blow the roof off the gate just like Hartlepool.

I just don't see much point in assuming that we're done for when we still have a chance. If we get 4th and Watford get 5th then surely we must be favourites? Watford are awful at home and they weren't exactly great at AG either?

If we win that then it comes to a grea trip out at Wembley where literally anything can happen.

I know it's hard but negativity doesn't do the players or the fans any good we just need to keep focussed on the chance we DO have, and stop crying about the chance we've squandered.

If the players react like the fans are reacting at the moment then we will NOT get promoted. But if the players react in a positive way and realise we still have a good chance then the fans can regain confidence in our side which will give us a much better chance.

That's my 2 cents on it anyway

If you saw the players faces leaving the pitch yesterday you would have seen they were lacking in confidence. Unless they can lift themselves out of this black cloud thats hanging over them, we arent going to gain any more points from our next two matches. This will be a real disappointment for them after their hard work for the majority of the season, and why fans will get on the managers back. Johnson has a very tough week ahead of him lifting the team to overturn this poor form we have encountered the past month. Lets hope we can achieve something at Sheffield Utd next weekend.

I think its due to the fact that we had it in our grasp and we blew it, a lot of people have lost the enthusiasm they had 3/4 months ago. We haven't been playing well for months and have only stayed up the top due to other teams also slipping up but as was proved yesterday we couldnt take the chance we needed to.

I cant see us beating sheff united, they were able to beat a in form hull side with only ten men, how are we going to cope up there?

Then if we still need a point versus Preston, they came from behind to draw with Plymouth 2-2. I can see us struggling against them, and unfortunately if we lose the next two games we could drop out the play off's.

I think Sheffield United will be a difficult game for you guys but you are strong at home, and I can see you beating Preston.

You WILL make the playoff's and then its a lottery, you never know what will happen, however if you don't get promoted I think every city fan should be proud of where you end up this season, promotion or not.
