petehinton
After all the things we have said '1million down the drain' and all the rest of it He pulls in with a performace like that! Shame it's the end of the season that he really starts to kick in But hopefully he can win us ALL 3 play-off matches On another note hopefully he's number 10 next year! Tales From The Front
After all the things we have said '1million down the drain' and all the rest of it He pulls in with a performace like that! Shame it's the end of the season that he really starts to kick in But hopefully he can win us ALL 3 play-off matches On another note hopefully he's number 10 next year! To be fair quite a few have asked / pleeded / wished that we would play to his strengths which low and behold are City's strenghts, as Bristol Boy's excellant match report portrays. When Lee Trundle starts missing open goals, one on one's etc then your unkind quotes might have some credence. However in my opinion it has been a case of the last six weeks or getting our pattern of play right, which coincidently happened when more players who are comfortable on the ball are selected and we passed the ball through midfield. We looked like a football team, we looked a threat through out the game. And as the main man said after the game "we got our game back". Trundle, Carle, Noble, McIndoe with some assistance from Adebola were inmstrumental in that coupled with better distrabution from the back four. Lets hope that both Trundle and Carle maintain that level of perofmance becuase based on yesterday's display they are both vital for our prospects. Trundle's attitude has / is first class and I'm delighted for him that he got a very good reception from City fans yesterday.

Man of the match for me was Nick Carle. The bloke was all over the pitch and had a blinder. I was proud of you all yesterday lads we did not deserve to lose. We may have lost but a fantastic performance. Come on you Reds.

Agree with all of that, Carle was defo MOM. He sheilds and uses the ball very well, it's a good standard he has set himself. I hope that we start to see that consistantly now that he had time to settle in to a new country etc. Becuase on that form Carle will be a massive player for us. Trundle again has a big part to play now and it's players like this that will be the difference in tight games. Came away with the feeling that the team gave it a right go, played good entertaining football. Keep that going along with a few more shots on goal then we still have a really good chance. As far as I'm concerned as long as we play like that, we can say that what ever happens we gave it a go. And that is as a far as I'm concerned is really important after some dissapointing performances.
DOLMANDAN
As we were walking out of the game Sheffield fans were saying "You totally out played us and who was the lad in midfield he should be in the prem" quote unquote this was said to us on three different occasions all along the same track. Brilliant performance by the team batterd a very good side who are on a very good run.Bring on the play offs
