Squeak
What's the point of a pitch invasion against Preston? I'd be the first on if we'd won promotion but theres no point in this game. A victory in the play-off home leg might be a different matter though.

Collis
It would be nice if the players got a chance to do a lap of honor at the end of the game WITHOUT people on the pitch. After all, they deserve it. Don't want to ruin everyones fun because going on the pitch is great but we will get another chance ala Hartlepool. Mighty Squirrel Kingdom
Agreed. Although I'm looking forward to seeing Preston down here again (the last time was one of the most memorable occasions at the Gate for years), it's not the end of the season. The club needs to come out and make it very clear indeed that any sort pitch invasion is a bad idea, although there'll always been some tw*ts who'll try it. A chorus of 'off, off, off' and some nice, loud booing will probably do the trick. Having said that...depending on who we get in the Play Offs and how we do a pitch invasion might be a mixed blessing. If we win the leg at AG then I think it's a good idea, but I can't imagine for one minute that anyone would be allowed near the away fans (whoever they might be) especially if it's Stoke, who would not be 'best pleased' if we beat them. There's a reason why we got thrown out of the East End: FA Cup tie January 1995 v Stoke. And God knows what would happen if we lost the home leg. Mind you, it's Mrs Squirrel Kingdom's 4*th Birthday on May 13th. Last time we had a play off game on that date we drew 0-0 with Baadiff, I didn't go and I stayed up to watch the game as I'd recorded it. Went to Ninian Park for the return...you know the rest. BTW, very proud that we made it to the playoffs even if we don't have the greatest record in them.

Guest MaloneFM
Can we please remove corks from asses for a moment. Remember the Rotherham game? We applauded them through a screen of yellow jacketed scowling gorrilas. Rotherham applauded us. We were not allowed near the poor points deducted relelgated buggers. Yet a few minutes later we were all walking down the same street chatting. The Preston game was ten times better. We ALL went on the pitch. The gorillas were crapping themselves as they though it would all kick off. They didn't know who to arrest first. The conga line full of both red and white shirts or the both sets of supporters singing filthy songs about the gas and Blackpool. I wandered off with my supposed enemy through the East End talking about football. This is what the game is supposed to be like. Now if there is an invasion with any hostile intent I am all for electric fences and machine guns but there won't be. This last game is a day for football supporters and fancy dress, christ before the game we are planning to go into a pub with them all. Its also a day to look at the directors box and say 'do you know how hard I have to work for my season ticket? I OWN this bloody pitch and its my day to be Scott Murray today and my kid wants to be David Noble so let him do it'. Sod the FA. Every year someone spreads the rumour of a points deduction of we do it. It never happens. Sod the gorrilas who during most of the games are spotty 17 year olds texting their mates and on the last day they bring in the heavy mob. Sod the plod who have bullied the away support all season. Sod the Burberry apes who go looking for fights against anyone and anything, we are not there to fight so bugger off if you want to. And most of all sod Snothausen and the Evil Post for their pointles litle digs about us all season again. sunningdalered
On the pitch definitely*!! FFS its been a brilliant season to this point, the PNE fans are quality and its a good opportunity to celebrate what we've achieved over the last 8 months, and draw a line before the players 'get their heads on' for the cup-tie stuff to come. The pitch will be fine. Lighten up people! * Terms and conditions apply. Please see stewards for details. Minimum 2 hour pitch occupation time. Pitch invasion not to be used in conjunction with any other anti-PNE behaviour. Full written details available from Avon & Somerset Police. Although I can understand supporters' reasons for a joyous pitch invasion on Sunday, the effect of several thousand overweight fans could render our great surface as unplayable as the Memorial patch. Yes, the Memorial patch. You know, that rutted corpse of a playing surface that's got more pot holes than Cheddar caves and isn't fit enough to be an allotment let alone stage football. 054123
God there are some boring people on this forum. Going on the pitch really isn't that a big of a deal. It used to be tradition until someone decided it wasn't! If you don't go on then fine, but if you do then so what? It's good fun. I`d just say to all out there to use a bit of common sense. There is still another match to be played, the most important match of the season, so try and restrain yourselves until then. If you want to show your appreciation for the teams efforts so far then dare i suggest that once the added time is announced in the 2nd half that we all stand, yes i did say stand, and give them all a standing ovation. Be it 2,3 or 5 minutes. It might sound a bit corny but i bet if we all did it then it would make for a fantastic sight. Whatever the score may be at the time, winning, losing or drawing, it doesn`t matter. Save the invasion for after the home leg..please. If you can't see the obsession then you have not had the experience. We show our appreciation from the stands every home game (most of us) and this is the last regular league home game. And the tradition is, for the information of all the nippers, last home league game of a very good season, over the top. The talk of ruining the pitch to Mammory ground standard is rubbish. Its people in flat soled shoes, maybe some dog ends. And its over quickly. The most ridiculous announcement was to stay off the pitch before the Neil Diamond concert three weeks after the last game. And they were due to rip it all up on the sunday anyway. As for the players and the half hearted lap of honour. If they get a hiding I very much doubt that they will be coming out anyway. And hopefully if the invasion happens then the traditional appearance in the dirctors box will be on. Look at the picture of the promotion dvd. The pitch is full of us and Lansdown, Johnson and the players loved it. Its just the divot stampers that get pissy.

bringbacktherobin
Well, quite. The last thing they want is pointless divots all over the pitch. Last minute of the 2nd leg of the play offs, we need a goal to send us through. Carle picks up the ball, does two players and releases a shot that is going miles wide it then hits one of these divots and goes in, completely wrong footing the goalkeeper. Not the sort of divot I was talking about.
BCFC Grim
Oh Grimmy Grimmy Grim Grim Grim Grimmy! Cheer up old sausage. A few years back when? What game? Maloneeee Maloneee Maloneee thats the point, its not promotion. Don't get me wrong, when we win to make the final i'll be the first one there. Make sure you give me a wave(in the EE) i will return with the Vs The players won't hang around on the pitch if people run on it, as there is nothing to celebrate.I also doubt they would go to the directors box, but they will do a lap if people stay off. Hold on you little thrill seeker you, just for a couple more weeks.
Guest MaloneFM
But it doesn't matter Grimster. And I shall wave to you from the gantry as long as Durden has hold of my braces. Its been a hell of a good season. The chances over going over the top at Wembley are minimal. If the play offs don't go as planned then it won't happen at all. Remember the Crapdiff game? This is the chance on sunday. Sod the half hearted lap of honour, over the top and do your own!

I don't care what people say, it's been an amazing season and the players would want to celebrate with fans, than just walk around the pitch.
