Student Playoff Tickets

My son has a 3 year concessionary ticket in the Premier Seats next to mine and I have tried to book this for the play off game only to be told he will have to pay a full price of £38.

Bearing in mind we only have Premier tickets in order to maintain the car park ticket which I had had for around 20 years, but would otherwise had lost if I had not taken a Premier membership, again I feel I am being exploited by the Club.

If I do not purchase this seat for the game no doubt it will be sold as a hospitality ticket to someone who has probably never even watched City before and not to the rightful owners of the season ticket who travel 150 mile round trip to every home game and also go to every away game!

Even though they know the season ticket in question is a concessionary one the point they are making is they will not release this particular seat in that part of the ground as a concession for this game.ie rip off an existing season ticket holder or sell it off as previously mentioned to a hospitality customer who has not probably ever seen City play!

Right, I'm hacked off by yet another ticket fiasco. I have a season ticket in the Dolman and my son has one next to me as a student ticket. I go on line and buy mine no problem. Try for my son's and dsespite the fact that it has him correctly registered as a student purchaser of next seasons ST, it won't let me buy his student ticket for the play off. So try the phone line. Wait 20 minutes (no indication of length of quque) and finally get through - only to be told that they can't sell me one at the student rate!

For those of us who live away from the Gate (middle of Wiltshire) buying tickets for one-off cup matches is a real pain. We have to use costly phone lines (not cheap rate) and usually end up being kept waiting for ages. Now we can't even buy a ticket at the correct rate!

If we do ever reach the promised land of the Premier League, sorting out the hassles of getting tickets for loyal supporters has to be a priority. I'm sick of it being a c**k-up every time.

don't panic. I went online to buy my tickets today. I had to pay £23 for my son who has a concession (student ticket). I continued with the transaction because I didnt have time to wait on a phone. Later I emailed BCFC to ask if this was correct and they told me to ring the ticket office to get it refunded/altered.

When I had time I rang the ticket line. I was told that because it is set up this way on Ticketmaster, I should have rang up to buy them if I didnt want to pay the £23. But to be fair the girl did then say she would refund me and give me a student ticket for £18 instead. When she checked the account she found that the tickets were already in the post to me. She said she could still refund the £5 difference if I brought the ticket along to the ticket office. As long as I have my sons student ID I could get the refund and swap it for a student ticket. I can do this anytime, including at the Preston game or on the day of the playoff itself.

You can get the student/concession prices if you explain the situation calmly and you are truly a student.

Mind you I don't think you can get an under 21 price, unless you have a student ID.

Cheers

To be perfectly honest the whole thing sounds like a scam.

I was told when I renewed that it was a student ticket but is the same price as U21. No asking about proof/ID etc. When I rang up then said I don't have a student ticket, and to get one, I'd have to buy a new ST with proof at the increased price.

Then told "Oh its really not worth it, you might aswell just buy an adult ticket".

Yes love probably, but only because I was on the phone for 40 minutes.

Sounds fair to me.

Surely your can accept that the ticket office would need proof that you will remain a student next season? Yeh it's on the system for this season... but courses do finish, people do stop being 'students' at some point.
