Johnson has asked for no pitch invasion against Preston it would would do a great bost for the play offs if the whole crowd clap and sing on a lap of the pitch, and save the pitch invasion for the play offs whatever the result they deserve all to stay behind after the game and cheer the team in appreciation of the season

Wonder how many pages this will get to?

No clue but Sunday will be a perfect demonstration as to whether people actually respect what Johnson says or simply use his quotes to have a dig at other fan sections.

Time will tell eh!

Noone respected him last season did they, he put the same plea on saying everyone to stay off the pitch.

What did everyone do? Mass pitch invasion.

I wouldn't have a pitch invasion or a lap of honour on sunday

we all know that its not the end of the season

i think the lap of honour, all the clapping will give the impression of end of season game.

We hopefully will be home in the 2nd leg, so that should be the pitch invasion followed by lap of honour when we hopefully book our place at wembley. What a night that would be

:city: After the Rotherham match last year I posted the 'Idiots on the pitch' post which got quite a response.

As last year Gary Johnson has said 'keep of the pitch' and thousands ignored him ,I see no reason for them to change but I wish they would.

Please stay off the pitch :protest:

He goes on the pitch, I goes on the pitch. Its a lip service device so they can show the fa that they asked. Do you really, honestly think he means it?

Totally different scenario imo. Rotherham was an outpouring of emotion after promotion in the last game of the season.

This time we have unfinished business and its NOT the end of our season so it would be premature to say the least.

I was on the pitch last season and hopefully will be again this year....after our last home game........ when we

:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: get to Wembley.

different circumstances,

against Rotherham we secured final day automatic promotion

against Preston we will have secured 3 points at most.

the most important thing is THERE IS STILL A GAME TO BE PLAYED on the pitch after preston.

needless to say, I firmly believe that majority won't go on and it will only be the moronic few who go on, who will promotly be shamed and boo'd back off the pitch by the rest of the ground

Good point.

Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge

Preston fans played City fans at Patchway High School today.

Their manager tells me the chairman of PNE phoned to wish them luck, a nice touch, I thought.

Random I know, didnt want to start a separate thread just for that though. 1,000 a side tomorrow would be a larf.

He also told me they had a game arranged with the Sags tomorrow, but Irene cried off yesterday, so they have re-arranged with Yeovil instead. Those nice chaps from Preston had gone to the trouble to arrange a pennant signed by Tom Finney to exchange with our poor relations as well.

Just a titbit of information thought I'd share with you.

I don't think there is much point in running on the pitch when we still have a home leg left, for 1 it will #### up the playing surface and 2. It is just pointless. I reckon though there will be many mindless idiots who will, I think it would be good for GJ to get on the tannoy at half time or something. This may work if the idiots are reminded by GJ rather than just D.L or another announcer.

Come the last game though if we secure the 2nd leg at home and a Wembley final..... why not I'm all in favour for the ON THE PITCH!!

BELIEVE WE WILL HAVE A PREM BADGE ON OUR SHIRTS NEXT SEASON! UP THE REDS! :city:

Some people have to go on the pitch; its to be wild.

Now we've been told that we shouldn't go on, its even more wild, breaking rules is cool; even more so when you won't get told off for it! You bunch of rebels, you guys!!!

In all honestly the only people I can see who would want to run on the pitch, are Watford fans and such like; hoofball merchant fans, giving their teams the advantage in 2nd leg.

I'm sure that some of you will feel the need to run on the pitch and be wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiild, but if you do, there won't be many more people who I'd like to see the stewards catch, and land a punch on...and most pitch invaders I recon to be sort of funny (remember Bradleys cousin; now that was funny)

I rather enjoyed the pitch invasion when it was naused up against Crapdiff. This is your last guaranteed chance. As for ruining the pitch...how? No one will be digging up great lumps of it to stick under their coats and there is, depending on the result, a week for it to recover.

Then were whining on about running on the pitch when the next one on it was Neil Diamond. You paid the money, you own it, don't sit on your hands like you have done all season...OVER THE TOP...CHAAAARRGGGE!!
