I go along with what Bradley Orr said in today's Evening Post anything less than Promotion will be considered not a susses. Staying up would have been acceptable at the start of the season but not at the end of the season.

We were in the top six for most of the time and should have been promoted by now with a decent Forward line make no mistake Johnson dropped a clanger with his not signing quality players when he had a chance.

We were so well placed with 10 games to go it should have been a formality with a couple of goal scorers.

I know I will get flack for this post but if we don't go up and the fans look at things in the cold light of day after the season has ended they will realised what I say is true.

Gary Johnson Good Manager yes, Great Manager don't know must do better signing Forwards next season if he is still here.

###### b***ocks AY, the reason it's "IF" he will be here is because people like you who are never happy!

This season i would of taken anything above relegation no doubt about it, this season has been bloody brilliant and it's not over yet who knows? we might go up in the play offs, either way if we do or don't go up I'm delighted with the team for putting in a great season which every fan of BCFC should be delighted with!!!

Did he really mean Scuse or Dr Suess?

One is a cartoon character and the other a childrens entertainer.

If they showed that big ambition about seven games ago they would be heading for the beach next monday.

Lets be honest is it really the forwards who have in ashtonyates eyes ( not mine bloody great season ) let us down , you tell me any game this season where we have missed chance after chance ( none ) to be honest our percentage of goals scored against how many chances we have created would be very high in my opinion, i think we have struggled to create chances not score them ,

Mind you got this funny feeling that mr trundle might have the last laugh yet

Midfield needs stengthening before the forward line, so does the defence

Well we missed Johnson its true but the defence have been the back bone the whole season, but if we had a striker who had scored 15 goals we would have been up by now

As far as I'm concerned, yate is a rovers area.

:icecream:

So what are you saying City are not a big enought club to have fans outside of Bristol If i was a rovers fan I would be happy with this outcome

Most of us thought we'd be up by now...... the rest can be saved till after the pray-offs ..... but questions do need to be asked and when has that ever bothered you Ashtonyate?

Just because nobody agrees with you does not make you wrong.... it just means nobody agrees with you...... but hey some do don't they?

UP THE BRISTOL CITY! ...... till the end eh :)

Nobody is true BCFC unless they go to every game or are season ticket holders

The rest of us that have also been through it time and time again .... from the highs to the lowest of the lows

Spent our hard earned money ..... even when we were at the lowest point are nothing but part-timers

Thing is even our money has kept this club going over the years just the same as the 'real supporters' so it's about time they accept the fact?

Never anything more or less than BCFC to the core........ God Save Part-Timers.....Or anyone that supports BCFC

This team is bigger than Bristol..... or Yate or the season ticket holders or where you happen to live

God Save The Bristol City FC and all that follow em :)

For what its worth i think AY has a point to a certain degree, yes its been a good season but we only needed to put together a half decent run at the end of the season and we were there. In my opinion we started going pear shaped since the arrival of Adebola (not that I'm blaming him as he is doing the job thats been asked of him), we are now just lumping it long and hoping somethin comes of it. Take a look at the results since his arrival. for some reason our tactics have changed and we have well and truley been found out.

At the begining of the season i would have been extremley pleased with our final posistiopn but i cant help thinking we had it in our grasp to go on and get a top 2 finish quite easily.

Yes and a load of others think the same regarding getting strikers in jan, but they aint going on like you are AY, god knows how many times you have said it but for pitys sake, its past mate, get over it, whats the point in dwelling on something thats passed us buy, nothing can change that now, in case you aint noticed we have a second bite of the cherry, who knows it just might happen and we do go up, so sit on yer hands for a while and lets see how things turn out, if it goes tits up, then argue the whys and wherefores, not now.

I can really agree with that we have not scored the goals all season the reason I think its gone tits up is we lost Johnson through injury. The truth is we had a small squad which needed a few players added to it whether on loan or bought

We have had chances but no one with the Quality to put them away, people have been having a funny feeling all season about Trundle I have a feeling about Trundle but its not a funny one.

I've heard a large number of City fans say the same about how we haven't been finishing our chances this season. I don't agree. That's one of the main reasons Johnsons reign has been so successful. We all remember the days under Wilson of playing the likes of Bury of the park for 90 mins yet coming away with a 0-0 draw. Roberts, Peacock, Aaron Brown etc were players who couldn't finish. Yes our strkers don't score loads but they didn't last season and i believe its down to the way Johnson has set up his side with the main priority to keep things tight and so far its been very successful. As he often puts it, "Treat each game like a cup final". It doesn't matter who scores or how, lets just get the win. I honestly don't think a signing like Joe Garner in January would have made much difference as he would have found himself in the same situation as the others. I remember a few years back Valencia won La Liga and got to two European Cup finals without a playing getting more than 10 goals a season. I'm hoping for a 90th minute winner in the play-off final via a deflection of Carey's backside!

I have been saying it all season and before the season started it was obvious to me that we have never had a credible strike force even last season we were poor up front.

Given City's play off credentials I pretty sure what will happen I don't believe I just hope we will get promoted. Just one other think if you were one of the other teams in the playoff's who would you want to play i think it would be the team with a minus goal difference for me.

As for the Wilson days the problem was we had players who only performed when they want to, we had to many bad apples in the team and no one with any guts to do anything about it. I shall always be grateful that Johnson finish of what Tinnion started and got rid of the bad apples.

As for Johnson's side you are right he found a system that allowed us to sneak the odd goal and points but was that by design or because we had no quality forward players also that way of playing has its limits
