WarksRed
Enoch today and at Sheffield last week, had the headless chicken syndrome when he came on. i assume the both Brooker and Byfield are injured as neither were on the bench., but surely we have better forwards available somewhere at the club, was maybe a chance to have a youngster on the bench today Enoch today managed to get nowhere near any headers, GJ was waving his arms at him to get upfield, for their corners he was in our box, it can't have been for defensive headers because he'd never get to any. Enoch confirmed my view in these last 2 games, that the championship is a step to far for him, if he plays against palace, we may as well start with 10 men. Tomo
In all fairness, Enoch was played on his own up front for the remainder of the game.... First touch - needs improvement... Good servant nevertheless... Tomo

Guest rossjonesuk
nice bloke, good servant,as honest as the day is long, but sadly,he's crap Harsh. Early season he was our top scorer for a while and offered more than our crop of strikers at the time. Refused to be pushed out to Sheff Weds because he wanted to be part of our set-up... good to see the dedication. He's ungainly but he is great in the air and a real handful for defenders. Did no worse than Adebola today!
petehinton
he underlined is love for the club by turning down a move to Leeds to get in to the first team was very good last year IMO but i do agree he is a league one player hasn't really had an effect this yr apart from his goals against watford n barnsley

Guest Jungle Jim
He's a worse version of Adebola. And we would do better with neither on the pitch.
HomerRed
He's a trier but made little impact against Preston. I'd like to think Brooker will be available for the Palace matches. It was unusual this season for GJ to be able to withdraw players with the game comfortably won.

He knows he's out of contract at the end of season and would get a much bigger signing on fee if he leaves at the end of the season on a free then he would if he went when Leeds went in for him

There are Top Uni degrees, small Uni degrees, College degrees, then again college degrees you can buy on the internet. Then again there are degrees handed out to ethnic minorities and athletes. As to the end of season bigger signing on fee, exactly ! In any event he's not good enough for next season and thats a fact.
Nibor
nice bloke, good servant,as honest as the day is long, but sadly,he's crap Nail on the head. Although he tries hard, Enoch just isn't a footballer, he can't do the basics and hasn't improved. If he was 6ft tall instead of 6ft5 he'd never be a pro. Did no worse than Adebola today! No disrespect mate, but you must have been watching another game, differencve between Adebola and Enoch was a huge gulf, Dele grafted his arse off and got replace because he was knackered, pulling the PNE defence all over the place creating space for Trunds and Mighty Michael McIndoe.Enoch was his fairly usual self, making the wrong runs, useless in the air, scared of his own shadow and generally ineffective.GJ was getting apoplexy from yelling at him!! Having said all that I don't dislike the bloke, he just simply isn't good enough at this level.
Roger Red Hat
What's all this 'good servant' nonsense? Enoch's only been here two years hasn't he? Sadly for him, he isn't a championship player.
Redhyde
If he was 6ft perhaps we'd stop lumping balls at him. Oh look a tall player he must be a target man...WHOOOSH..grief..English football makes you want to cry sometimes. Bottom line is Enoch has had plenty of chances and hasn't improved on any sort of consistent basis in the role we want him to play. He's not comfortable in that role and never will be IMO ..but while Brooker can't play more than a game a year, the only player who can give a rest to Dele is Enoch. And you may get lucky with Enoch putting in one of his great performances ala Watford. Brooker's obviously ahead of him as the second choice player to lump balls at, but Brooker's MIA... P.S. Enoch got a (business) degree from a Uni ranked 81st in that subject.
Guest Eamer
Yesterday was the perfect chance to give someone like Plummer a run out. Not sure about Showunmi, maybe he's proved himself to GJ in the recent reserve games...

Summed it up for me when he attempted to control a 10 yard pass on the floor and the ball ended up 3 yards away from him. Enoch certainly isn't a target man but I don't think that giving him a different sort of service would make any difference like it does with Trundle, he simply isn't anywhere near good enough. Agreed Nibor, all to often Enochs second touch is a tackle! Nice guy, Does try and his attitude is spot on but he simply doesnt have it at this level. And that's why he'll be gone at the end of the season. He has the physical attribute hence getting so many chances, but doesn't do it in matches. Whatever league we're in we'll be after 1-2 strikers to bring the numbers back up. Byfield's clearly not rated anymore so he'll be off too. Brooker can't be considered a frontline striker with his fitness record. So effectively we have Dele and Trundle. So we need another target type player, and the quick goalscorer we failed to sign at any point under GJ

If he has another real injury that will effectively be that. I'm surprised Byfield isn't nearer the team but him being released definitely won't be a shock. The only surprising thing about Enoch was him not taking the Leeds or Sheff Weds moves, he's not getting a new contract here. I think you're right we'll be after 2 strikers and I'm hoping they're going to have pace.
Guest BristolCity4Life84
Nah. Byfield, Adebola, Trundle are all better players we could have on the bench.
