Really Proud Of The Club

I had my letter regarding the early bird ticket offers today and i know this has already been discussed on here but I think the offers look really great in black and white. (and red)

Although I am too old to benefit from the best deals, the offers for the u12's U19's and U22's are a great response to the Supporters Trust's survey regarding our aging fanbase. I think the 12 monthly payments coupled with still reasonable season ticket prices are encouraging as well. After a day where fans are demonstrating outside the Premier league headquarters over exorbitant pricing, it is great to see my club leading the way.

I really hope that the fanbase responds well to this and that a percentage of those who made the trip to Wembley may be back on a more permanent basis.

I have to assume that the savings and advertising revenue that Bristol Sport brings has allowed this level of discounting, so I can only hope all the sports in their fold go from strength to strength and the costs continue to be affordable.

Err the letter advising they went on sale at the start of the week?

Buying through a phone number that people can't get through to or buying through a website that isn't fit for purpose!

People are buying them aren't they? So how are they managing?

Not fit for purpose is a bit harsh....to be fair over 1000 tickets were bought (somehow) on the first day and, despite some initial problems last night (possibly due to demand??) I renewed online today with no trouble. Many others on here also seem to have renewed by all 3 methods. I agree there's room for improvement but given the massive change going on at the club at the moment (stadium, changes to ticketing systems, bringing Bristol Rugby on board etc) which I know involves a lot of staff putting in long hours, I don't think they've done too badly. Of course, as all these changes start to be completed over the next 18 months we should rightly expect improvements.

I'm fortunate that I live within 10 miles of AG and it's easy for me to pop in as I did this morning. There was a relatively short queue ( 40mins) but apparently the queues were 3 hours yesterday. I'm guessing that quite a number of STs have been via personal callers.

I appreciate that fans who live outside of the area or have work commitments can't do that so the club should sort out these online/phone difficulties as soon as possible.

As reported half of these were done face to face.

Not fit for purpose is being generous!

Many didn't get an email

Those that did got multiple emails

Many couldn't log on

Those that could couldn't purchase seats

Those that could select seats, many couldn't pay

Let's compare, ok numbers different but you'll understand my gist. We sold 10k tickets on day one of Wembley sales, Bristol Sport celebrate selling 500!!

The alarm bells were ringing when it was reported staff were working up to midnight to get the systems working

The staff themselves are struggling with the system, that is a concern as they are THE BEST thing about this process, if they were not so dedicated it would have been a disaster!

I booked three tickets for myself and two friends online between 10.00 and 10.15 on Wednesday morning without anything resembling a problem.

I'm 71 and while not in the same league as young, computer knowledgeable IT specialists, it was not difficult.

I sympathise with those who had problems later in the day but for me the only problem is that Dual tickets are as yet, only available as an upgrade by phone or personal visit for the City ST that I bought.

Frustrating but teething problems with new computer systems are par for the course.

I think I might have identified an issue but I am hoping there will be a way around it. I am transferring my ticket from the WIlliams in the 2nd stage but my daughter wants to get a season ticket next to me for next season. She hasn't been a season ticket holder for 3 years so I don't think she can get one until the last stage, I don't know how I am going to get us seats together........

Book one for yourself leaving a gap of one to seats already taken.

Then when they go on general sale that seat next to you is likely to still be available....Unless you get unlucky and some 22 stone lone schizophrenic used to his own company buys it up. In that case transfer your seat.

Job is a good one.

40 minutes is a ridiculous amount of time to queue for something, unless you're unemployed or retired with **** all else to do, to the extent the queue was the highlight of the day...
