Thought he said it was him, MA and Des Taylor, in London, not SL.

More likely - as a Tax Dodger Exile isn't SL only able to spend 30 days per year in the UK? , All of which must be taken up by attending games (inc.rugby).

Could be...also useful to have the him there in person, wallet in hand?

Just imagined SL with about £10m in his wallet - all in notes - and counting out 10, 20, 30, 40 etc etc to an agent.

Great SL is involved. The less cock ups the better. Another plus is that a deal could be agreed on site with Steve (and his wallet) there:chant6ez:

As per my post above, LJ didn't say SL was there, he said he was with Mark Ashton and Des Taylor.

You’re automatically non-resident if either:

  • you spent fewer than 16 days in the UK (or 46 days if you haven’t been classed as UK resident for the 3 previous tax years)
  • you work abroad full-time (averaging at least 35 hours a week) and spent fewer than 91 days in the UK, of which no more than 30 were spent working

This is probably why SL is no longer the Chairman or a director as every board meeting would be classed as work and I suspect there is other work elsewhere. If he is retired of course bullet point one would apply. Regardless of tax status it looks good for some early signings. Fingers crossed!
