Which other clubs do you regularly hear singing it when we play them..? You do not hear it much now because the song is well over a decade old and was on the terraces about 4-5 years old and fallen out of fashion... feel free to search you will be spoilt for choice but maybe lets make Tammy feel at home with Chelsea fans chanting it

It only fits with a certain amount of clubs names, so that's a lot of clubs discounted already. I like that it's old school and not actually sang by many. Even if it is fairy generic. Lanterne Rouge
What about the old `Ba-ristol` from the seventies and eighties? That used to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when we all chanted it.

The old club did it as well. I like it, builds the tension nicely. Everton's 'Johnny Todd' (theme from Z Cars) always made me smile. was one of my dad's favourites, he used to belt it out when we had gone to bed... mum used to like Knights in White Satin... god knows how they expected us to sleep with them whining along to those songs screeming out of the front room. Sorry if you arent a fan of it but many are and also its only 30 seconds of it! Always open to suggestions though.... but it would take something special! You have surveyed fans have you with your statement that many like it? One of the first records I bought on 45 which says everything. It belongs back in the day. It is embarrassing and sad and one of the reasons there is no atmosphere pre-game - who is going to get fired up by that croc of shite? This is football and not a hoedown. Stir the emotions? I could swallow a bag of viagra and go soft when that crap comes on the tannoy - away fans actually laugh in case you have not noticed ?!
Fiale
It must be easy coming up with 30 seconds of decent music that also acts as an entrance... just of the topish of my head these lyrics are 30 seconds long, and fit into a nice segment of music that is fine in it's own right I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd You're gonna hear my voice When I shout it out loud It's my life It's now or never I ain't gonna live forever I just want to live while I'm alive (It's my life) 45 seconds to 1.15 of the video - and I am sure others could come up with much better segments given a bit of time
Fiale
Crank up the volume as loud as you can and just go with our very own Massive attack - the intro sounds great when pumped up (well also quite, but in the stadium this would also sound great). 8 seconds to 38 seconds
Sargent Pepper
I like the shout of Zeppelins Kashmir as mentioned above. Also heard around various grounds recently White Riot-The Clash, Blitzkrieg Bop-The Ramones, She Sells Sanctuary- The Cult. All great intros and gets the blood pumping. For out own individual take on that I've long championed The Jam- In The City and i think it would already be popular with a large portion of our fanbase and soon become synomous with us as White Riot is to Swansea. How do you know he's in the minority? I think it's a rubbish chant too, but I have no idea how many City fans agree or disagree with that view so couldn't possibly say whether I'm in the minority or majority. It was ok when it was first sung by fans of just about every club zillions of years ago, but it's just jaded and old now, just my opinion. Not saying every long-standing chant is like that but I just don't like this one...anymore

Brooding, menacing, atmospheric, creates a sense of excitement and menace, bloody brilliant and (co) written by a big city fan. What's not to like? Incidentally i was impressed with Fulhams choice of music during the build up and at half time on saturday.

To me, it's rubbish. I've never liked it. Poor cheesy lyrics, hardly rousing before a game.. it sounds like a song that a team would make before a Wembley final in the 80s rather than an anthem fans know and are proud of. No one sings along to it either. That's just my view but I think it's totally naff and sounds tired. I appreciate the tradition and that it's been played for years.. would be good to keep it (or a section) as part of the playlist in the build up but try something else for when the teams walk out. Anyone else agree or am I on my own here?

Fiale
They have to cater for everyone I guess, but as always when catering for everyone you tend to end up with something that's just not disagreeable by anyone, but not really liked by anyone either... just kinda bland "blehhh" that becomes a sort of "blehh" tradition and your stuck with "blehhh" forever. So much good music - they must be able to come up with something... hell I like a lot of different genres and can see how many can / would work

Fiale
I mean, it's not my absolute favourite but could anyone object to our very own Massive Attack - and Unfinished Symphony is nearly always voted as being one of the greatest songs... it's fits with us geographically, it's good ramp-up, recognisable, fun, catchy and distinctly part of the Bristol Sound / Bristol group we should be proud of.
