Jerseybean
As the end of the season approaches I'd be interested in others views on which players it would be sensible to look to part company with in preparation for next season. I fully appreciate this in part depends upon which league we are in and as an optimistic City fan I'm taking this to be the Championship. Look forward to your thoughts on this. cidercity1987
Tomlin sell to the highest bidder Abraham and Matthews loan return Maybe a surprise one like Hegeler if he has failed to settle Keep Little as adequate back up. Not sure who else is out of contract?

Shelton’s Love Gravy
We should clone Abraham before he goes back. I am very surprised no one else has suggested this before to be perfectly honest.

The Coach
Outgoings: Little O'Neil Golbourne Tomlin Engvall Wilbraham Cotterill Abraham Matthews Cotterill Possible Outgoings: Fielding Pack Hegeler Leaving us With: Bryan Flint Wright Smith Brownhill Reid O'Dowda Taylor Paterson Djuric Magnusson O'Leary Kelly Vyner Taking into account no new signings are listed, the team looks weak on paper

Luxo Jr.
We need to sort out the keeper situation particularly. Will be interesting to see if Lucic is pushed up the ranks. If not, then a new 1st choice keeper probably should be signed, if we want real stability, letting Frankie go. Taylor, Djuric, another striker plus McCoulsky could be a nice set of front line options. Wilbraham is probably done, at least with us. I could maybe see him having one last season with a Lg1/2 side. Based on what I've seen, getting Cotterill permanently would be a really solid signing. I'd like us to hang on to Hegeler too, utility men are incredibly useful. Personally never been a big fan of Reid, I feel Bryan can do his job more effectively, and an upgrade on Pack would be nice to get. Seems like Tomlin has once more moved on mentally. Full backs need to be sorted out. Get a top right back, keep Little as 2nd choice, sort out the left back situation, keep Golbourne as back-up, and have Flint, Wright, Magnusson and Taylor Moore to choose from at CB, as well as Hegeler as back up. Give O Dowda a chance to really push on, but get another winger who's a crossing specialist if we're going to focus on Djuric next season. Keep Paterson on as a backup. I don't believe there's an issue of quality with us. It's a mixture of mentality and tactics. The mentality has improved slightly with a couple of wins, now we need to get solid at the back, and decent full backs will help immeasurably. All just my opinion, but I'm not quite as doom and gloom as others may be.
cider-manc
Pack only signed a new two year contract in September so I doubt he will move on. Tomlin may go... But I hope not. He's still imo our best player. Out of the loans I would imagine cotts is the only likely one to stay. But in a dream world tammy will give us another season..... formerly known as ivan
Don't think Brownhill is anywhere near championship quality. Think a loan to league one could do him good if we stay up. Must be honest, apart from Korey and Tammy going back, I don't think there is one player currently in our squad that I would give a shit about leaving! j1974
I believe that we have some really talented young players in the likes of O Dowda , Brownhill , Magnusson ,McClousky and Taylor Moore all of whom just lack that little bit of consistency that will come with the right coaching and guidance (not sure whether that is Johnson ) , if we can get some quality in around these younger lads and Taylor and Duric have a pre season together we could look ok , would also like to see some pace added to the squad as well. I agree. With hindsight maybe to expect these players to be playing week in week out was a bit too much of a step up for them keeping in mind the level they have come from. Most have had some Championship experience now and we we can stay up they will be a good group of players. If we go down they will either be a great group or sadly not here I think.
