Difference with Zola is, he had done nothing well for Birmingham at all. LJ had taken over and guided us to safety and then to the play-offs. That bought him the time. Zola has only took them one way.

Ah, that's not great; could have done with him staying out for at least a game or so more.

Still; tough local derby next week, and entirely possible they could be in the drop zone going into it, so don't know who will fancy that as a task.

Still; doesn't change that fact that we have our fate in our own hands now - Barnsley is a big game; they have only one win in the last ten, and think a few of their players are eyeing up summer moves already.  Hope we can get at least a point and keep move towards the finish outside the relegation zone.

Thing is, if every manager with a record like LJ's at a club resigned, then about 3/4 of ENglish clubs would be looking for a new manager.

His statement was stupid to start with
