Jerseybean
Getting to the Channel Islands is probably more expensive per mile than getting anywhere else in the world. Even for me to go to Guernsey from Jersey is silly money.

Park up and go as foot passenger. The Condor Liberation takes about 3 hours and on Saturday doesn't get in until 14:00, an hour after kick off! If you go by foot on Friday and come back Saturday evening, it's £108. The cheapest is £55, which is the Condor Clipper and takes about 7 hours each way. Then you need somewhere to stay Friday night. Camping is about £10 per night, B&B's about £60 per night. I travel to Guernsey regularly to see family and it is a monopoly held by Condor Ferries. They charge what they want, only bonus is the duty free shop on board.

Quite bizarrely there is no day trip with Condor from Jersey - Guernsey on 8th July so I'd need to fly at a cost of £96 return for a 20 minute flight each way! Jersey Bristolian
yeah sorry just noticed it changed it to UK when I hit day trip, nothing from here (jersey) on the day, oh well I'll give it a miss then.
