Grayson said as much - something along the lines of allowing a 5`7" player a free header in the box wasn`t acceptable. Silver lining- the club will be preparing for such a scenario and will be identifying a replacement, who (assuming we dont suddenly chuck our recruitment strategy out the window) will have greater potential and (ideally) cost less than we sell Bobby for. We don't have to sell anyone . I doubt Bobby would leave here in January. He is in a great place career wise . He is loved at the club and playing the best football of his career. If he maintains his form he could find himself passing said ' struggling ' Prem club as City go up or if he could join a successful Prem club in the summer. In any case the club marches on . We don't have to sell major you are quite right, however silly money offers in January is a possibility for Flint, Bryan, Reid, Brownhill and even Smith and Patterson will be getting watched. You are right about clubs going the other way but players have a price and in January they have a silly price. Remember Sack Cloth! Bet he feels a right chump now!
