  1. Leicestershire put Glos into bat, they have just broken their opening partnership record Vs Leicestershire and Charlesworth his personal best in 1st class cricket. Well done captain.
  2. Why do some goalkeepers seem to have their best games against us. Angus Gunn has made two shocking errors already, he looked unbeatable when we played them.
  3. They have split into two camps (surprise surprise) the ones who think they have missed out on a guaranteed 20 goals a season, and those who are pretending they never wanted him in the first place as he's too old and slow. Doesn't seem to stop Chris Martin at that level.
  4. I must admit that the names being mentioned seemed to be very scatter gun with no real focus on positions, but then I realised that with the "squad" they currently have, they need players in pretty much every position.
  5. I don't think Tins was the only one talking him up though was he? I seem to remember articles and posts on here suggesting that bigger clubs than ours were at least monitoring him. Maybe I am wrong (the stattos and scouts on here will be able to correct me) but he and Stokes look similar types of player from what I have seen of them. Both look technically good on the ball with an eye for a pass, both can play off either foot but are predominantly right footed? I just wonder if they can "job share" a role of right AM that would allow them to be blooded over the season with less pressure?
  6. Especially as he only seems to be playing as part of his recovery/fitness regime. 20 minutes last week, and hour yesterday the sort of thing they do with first teamers coming back from injury.
  7. I had a look at their "Wishlist" thread last night and I am amazed at their apparent knowledge of young players in World football, either that or they have spend a lot of time on football manager. They clearly think that they are one of the great draws in football.
  8. Looks a very serious young man doesn't he?
  9. What we don't want to do with them is having them sitting around playing U21 games. I know from other players that have gone from "proper football" at a young age into U21 set ups, that it can be dull and repetitive when there seems to be nothing on almost all games.
  10. I watched some of the Somerset coverage in the last couple of seasons and this match is the most accurate I have seen him bowl. For once he didn't look like a converted javelin thrower. Let's hope he can remain that consistent.
  11. I do think we have been pretty flexible during games, nothing spectacular, but little tweaks here and there as the games roll on. We already have some players that can allow for that. I haven't heard the SOTC yet, when he talks about a winger, does he mean an out and out attacking player, or more of an alternative to Pring that plays more advanced but can cover back?
  12. Oh come on, that's pretty special, just not quite what he meant....
  13. He had the same injury and the same "repair" as Rob Atkinson, a week apart. They were both told they would be ready for pre season and that it's a proven operation that has a great success rate.
  14. I remember Edson being very funny, as long as you weren't the subject of his humour.
  15. If you want to go down that route, we could have categories which would allow for multiple awards. Something like On the pitch fiasco (e.g. lack of goals) Off the pitch embarrassment (e.g. ex manager ravings) Owner/staff/admin faux Pas (e.g. normal fans) Fans embarrassment (almost too many examples and may need sub categories)
