  1. How does this relate to possession Dave? It's interesting that since Easter we've had a variety of different possession stats. Is the output similar regardless? Is there a relative trend?
  2. I think that's a great summary, and really, the more additional metrics you add into that collective, the more sense you'll get out of it. On its own, it's pretty useless. Imagine a cross is drilled into the box, takes two deflections and lands to the left foot of Zak Vyner, who has an open goal in front of him. Surely that would be a high xG? But realistically the ball would end up in the stands. Context is everything.
  3. When did their scouts actually see him in action?!
  4. Scott, Semenyo and Kelly all start for Bournemouth, who at 1-0 up currently lie 10th in the Premier League!
  5. Totally disagree Dave... I'd like Tins to come on OTIB and share everything!

The kid needs to find a home, that's for sure. He's learning about levels at least.
  7. I had to quickly find his interview just now... He says top 6, which is obviously a good target for the players. For me, the 70 points mark that you mentioned is a testing but achievable aspiration. And if we get there with one or two games to go, we'll be fighting for top 6.
  8. Good to hear you enjoyed it mate Hope City can put a smile on our faces one last time before the break
  9. That's the target for next season, whether we beat Stoke or not
  10. Yeah I think that having lost Scott, this is a decent season on reflection. When we consider not just the points improvement, the league position improvement, the defence, and the FA Cup efforts... it's actually better than we had for way too long. The footnote will always be that it has built on the foundations laid by Nige, but hopefully we can keep trending in the same direction.
  11. I know we're 7 unbeaten and top of the form table, but this typical Manning weather today

I don't feel sorry for him. I'm really glad that King and Morrison got on. They're a much higher priority.
  13. Riffing on the Twine thing, I'm leaning towards signing him. I have this suspicion that we haven't seen him fully firing yet, and glimpses have led me to think I'd personally sanction it. I'm fully aware that I could be wrong there.
  14. Just on this bit, in the first half, Rotherham did try different approaches. When we had the ball deep in our defensive half, they tried a few times to go man for man, but we were too cute for them in tight spaces. A couple of times they tried to press, but not in unison and we easily got around it. By the second half, it was like they had given up on winning the ball high and decided to sit deep. They had a good spell of possession near the end, but we were defending resolutely. Could finish higher, and if we do we'll have reached the top end of my personal expectations for this season.
  15. At least they have correctly identified where we need more quality - attack. Let's see who they bring in.
