  2. I have lived in Hanham for the past 12 years. I have to say that I think it is far more red than blue. A lot of the City lot that live over here are good 'lads' as well. There really doesn't seem to be many young gas lads here at all. Maybe just poor unfortunates who are forced to be blue by vindictive relations. As an example I took a kids football training session for a group of 12 year olds from AEK Boco. 14 kids turned up. 12 wearing City shirts, a plump boy in a Man Utd shirt and a ginger kid in a Rovers shirt (his dad is gas). As for pubs, on Northern Soul nights up the Trooper you do get a small group of ex skinhead gas who are about 60 years old. I know them all and there is never any bother. Most in there are City. Jolly does get some gas in when they have a home match. Tend to drink there pre match and travel to the game. Not many though. Maypole is almost exclusively City. Cross Keys is virtually all red. Blue Bowl......not sure, shit food pub I avoid. Gotta be said ......... Hanham is Red.

He talks to OSIB about: going to prison, the Wembley injury and getting sent off for fighting with Louis Carey. Click here to listen on iTunes/Apple Podcasts. 4. After announcing their losses yesterday they are now suing the makers of Football Manager for use of their trademark. This is despite the fact it has been used for many years on the game and many more years prior to this under the Championship Manager name. This reeks of desperation to me and an embarrassing attempt to recoup some money where, even if there is an argument for them, the timing is appalling. How the mighty have fallen!

  5. However the leagues get decided it will never please everyone, Take Charlton and Hull for example both from what I’ve read want the season to be voided, why? Only because it suits them and they don’t get relegated by either playing out the remaining games or by PPG, same goes for ourselves on wanting to play out the season. Im of the opinion where no matter how long it takes for it to be safe enough is to play the last 9 games, the season is too far gone to just wipe it out as if it never happened, and simply don’t agree with the PPG scenario and if players like Deeney, Kante, Rose etc don’t feel safe enough to play then it’s pretty simple don’t play then let others who want to play get on with it.

  6. Neither do I mate or my 2 young kids, but I’m not eligible to be furloughed so I have to work, if I didn’t we’d have hardly any income to pay bills, feed mouths etc. Yes football to us fans is a sport our source of entertainment (home games not included!) but for football players it’s their job, and just the same as every other worker in this country they will be expected to return to their jobs when it is safe to do so. As harsh as it is Rodman from the Blue Few stating the other day how 1,400 players who are out of contract will be out of a job, well my response to that is, ‘welcome to the real world’ there will be hundreds of thousand others who will also lose there job because of this pandemic, unfortunately it’s life.

  7. Did some very crude maths the other day and reckon most of our FFP wiggle room would be used up in 3-4 months of no income and having to give refunds. All clubs had to submit their projected accounts in March (for accounts to end of normal season). Those would give the best positioning of finances without the effects of covid....and are used already (even if not forcibly enough) to charge clubs. I see no reason why these couldn’t be used to check compliance as a starting point. They are going to better looking than the actual accounts.

  8. I’ve just shaved a few seconds off my best mile - in the club im in we’re doing 3 mile runs and the last mile is as fast as you can - did 6.34 tonight down from 6.39, not as fast as the speedsters but going in right direction!!

  10. I should read your post in more detail. Yes, you’d think there’d be an option to take off of next seasons, amongst other options.

  11. You aren't suggesting that someone should buy the domain name and change the purpose of that particular address so the content is less offensive are you?

  13. Can't agree with this at all. We do lose money, that's not the supporters doing. We are the one's who have paid, bought STs merchandise food drink shirts etc. We do our bit. Stephen Lansdown owns the club, ground, land, the buildings around the stadium, the training ground. He sets the policy, direction and budget, He appoints the manager CEO and signs off on all expenditure and crucially transfer fees. He has chosen the path and the financiall philosophy we follow, he created the Bristol Sport model. He is a very wealthy billionaire and runs the club as he wishes. The club loses money because it (he) spends more than the income it receives.. His choice. I have no problem with SL at all but I'm certainly not forgoing a refund for a product that I bought but is now not going to be available - not the club's fault, but not mine either. SL recently sold just 2.2% of his HL shareholding and received £180 million for them, leaving him with just the £9,000,000,000 in reserve - plus of course his other assets. So the money for refunds shouldn't be too hard to find.

  17. 2 months without income. I had no idea that they would be able to survive that long. Maybe Wally will invest another camel or two to tide them over. Meanwhile, values for property and land post COVID-19 could easily be 20% lower putting him well into the realms of negative equity.

  18. Initially I was in the same camp as you as I’m fortunate enough to also forego a refund...but I’ve since changed my mind. The club, business, operating company (call them want you will) aren’t showing any thought or empathy for anyone but themselves. There are many out there who aren’t as fortunate as us and that’s what should form the basis of their actions; this though is far from their minds. Several people will have bought tickets for individuals matches and in groups costing a fair bit...watching football at Ashton Gate without a season ticket isn’t cheap and they aren’t being given the option of a refund! Many companies are doing what’s ‘right’ for their customers, issuing refunds, payment holidays etc, but as far as I can tell Bristol Sport aren’t doing a damn thing - they aspire to be a community club remember yet they really don’t care about their ‘customers’, what they’re currently going through or what this money could do for them...for that reason I’ll take my refund remembering I’m just a customer, not a fan! It’s this reason I’ve had enough of the way the ‘club’ is being managed, we’re not valued customers at all, just customers or pound signs. I’ll therefore consider any future purchases carefully as I’m really not prepared to do business or give my money to such a company. If this were any other company how many of you would tell them to sod off and would take your custom elsewhere?

  31. Louis Carey away at Forest live on Sky one Bank Holiday. We won 1-0 (Chris Wood penalty) and he was awesome, a real captain`s performance and he ended up being interviewed pitchside covered in blood a la Terry Butcher. Aden Flint away at Brighton when we pissed on their parade.

  35. Hey! I’ll have you know that the Blue Few claim their away following percentage based on their average home attendance is one of the best in L1. They completely ignore the fact that their home crowds are absolutely shit mind. #gaslogic

  39. Are you sure this isn't the point? When overtaking a cyclist you should give them the same room you would car in case they fall. This generally means going fully into the next (oncoming) lane. If you can't see enough to do that you should wait until you can?
