  1. Poor take mate. Its not just 100 pound to a lot of people. I have 3 seasons tickets im in the hole for, im on furlough, wife on maternity. And that's before we get to to next seasons tickets that have already been done at a cost of over a thousand pounds. And for what? In these times I couldn't give a shit if the club didn't have 2m to waste on another overpaid young footballer, who will spend that money on a range rover. The club should look after the people that year on year look after the club.

  2. Bristol sport decided a long time ago that I am a customer not a fan. So it's time I treated this business the same I would treat any other. I've paid for something, not received it through not fault of my own. Therefore I want my ******* money back. I fail to understand what is so difficult to understand.

  3. Ah yes, but let’s not forget that the Gas with their ‘massive’ fanbase...which is lower than Lincoln, Rotherham, Blackpool and MK Dons (FFS ) are, apparently, bigger than many clubs in the Championship I wonder who he means by ‘the enemies’? Deluded idiots...

  4. So in that list we have Blackburn - Premier League Champions, Played in Champions League, QPR x2 stays in PL in recent years, Fulham who spent countless years in the PL, Charlton with a 10 year stretch in PL, Brentford with a new multimillion pound stadium. The rest are a mute point but even Wigan and Barnsley have been in the Prem and Preston have flirted with promotion many times. And of course bigger than ourselves despite being below us for 18 sodding years and not had an average attendance over 10'000 before electricity was invented. Absolute otter feltching wankpuffins.

  5. I'm a bit bored in a zoom meeting which is going on for ever with some smarmy yank waffling away ('Hey Buck,' arsehole) so I've been doing a little comparison between delusion central and one of the teams the druggy said they are bigger than. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions as it's obviously too tight to call. Fulham v scum comparison Capacity: Craven cottage 29,600 The dump 12,300 Average crowd: Fulham 17,752 (reduced capacity) ****ts 7397 Squad value: Fulham £83.88M https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-fulham/transfers/verein/931

  6. Ah but according to BP................. Here’s hoping The Colony development is a success, and then full attention can turn to delivering a new home which will unlock the huge potential of Bristol Rovers and its fanbase.

  7. Yes, and be thankful for it, Steve Lansdown's down to his last £1,700,000,000 so please be understanding and help the guy out by waiving your consumer rights, the club need all the money it can get right now, I noticed at the last home game Kalas's Ferrari was coming up to 1 year old so obviously that'll need replacing soon.

  9. i owe Buster a massive debt of gratitude he saved my sons life in 1993 , a sweet lodged in the throat whilst playing on Ashton park which no one could get out Buster came sprinting over from the city ground and managed to dislodge it,took him over to to treatment room checked him out and sent him on his way,its a much longer story than that but you get the general idea ....RIP Buster legend

  10. What's wrong with that? If you're treated like a customer, behave like a customer. If people were treated with some respect and were seen to be valued, then I expect peoples attitude to the club would differ. As it is, the club couldn't care less if they have a long standing supporter purchase a season ticket, or someone just moved to the area, with no affiliation to the cub whatsoever.

  11. 1. What good are 3 live stream passes for families? If 3 of us living in the same household am I to assume we will all be charged for the same thing? 2. What is the difference between coverage received by those with executive season tickets at over £1000 a season, £450 in Dolman central and south stand? Or are they allowing different people to pay different amounts for the same privilege? 3. Basic estimates would suggest on a per game basis I'd be due a refund of £20ish per game. Will those without season tickets have to pay more than this rate for the games? Or am I being punished f

  12. I completely get your point. But being the only season ticket holder in my household it’s about as much as I could have hoped for, I personally do not want any refund as I’m seeing more football than I probably would have if the season had continued, I wouldn’t have made it to every away game. Completely understand that different peoples circumstances will mean different views.

  15. Really hard to disagree with any of that anyalsis. 6000 or so thousand of the great unwashed per home game and a "stadium" which is the envy of.....absolutely no one. I am struggling to think of any team in any division that would gladly swap either fan base or stadium with Moron FC. So that really sets them apart from everyone. They are on a par with no one. The list of teams they mentioned are something they would aspire to. If you were pushed you would say likes of Accrington Stanley, Southend United, Gillingham and Fleetwood could be used as a fair comparison to their curre

  16. Agree & feel exactly the same way. I know financially I am down on the deal here but as this is not of the club’s making the opportunity to watch the last 9 games is a fair offer in my case, though I do accept that in a household with 2 or 3 ST holders that won’t be the same. Also, I do think next season is a completely different matter, having already shelled out over £500, the option to watch those games on a laptop isn’t as good a deal at all and needs greater consideration.

  19. Thing is, we’ve seen enough examples of this sort of delusion over the years to know that these beliefs are pretty much the norm up at the Mem amongst the blue few. Imagine standing in a half empty, 12k capacity stadium full of tents and chatting about how much bigger ‘da Gas’ are than clubs like Fulham, Charlton and Blackburn Rovers? Absolute weapons.

Chelsea WSL champions, Liverpool relegated and Villa promoted Female pundit on SSN saying 'perhaps the mens team will now invest in the ladies team to get them back to where they should be'.... why should the mens team be funding the ladies team? Surely thats a situation we want to avoid? Inflating ladies football finances where there's not the sustainability in their own finances

  26. Think that could work - as long as the central midfield 2 don’t get isolated. I sacrificed width (on paper) with my 4132, because we struggle in a big standard 442....and first game (I assume) will be Blackburn, who will be physical in that area.

  28. Update on what QPR are doing. Very simple and IMHO very fair. 3 options: 1. Waive refund and have the streams for free 2. Have a pro rata refund (4/23rds of the ST cost; they have 4 home games left) as a credit for future purchases 3. Have the same pro rata refund as cash https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/201920-season-ticket-refund-update/ Hopefully City will do no less.

  33. That's a well worded announcement from QPR. 100% clarity that ST holders WILL be offered a pro rata refund, while at the same time indicating that there will be alternative options made available for those fans who wish to decline the offer. Hopefully BCFC/BS/AGL will very soon provide the same level of clarity.

  41. If I was Lee Johnson I’d have spent months working out all the potential permutations presented by a fully fit squad and how many times I could change the line-up in the number of remaining games. I would then have calculated the maximum formation changes I could affect through substitutions during matches and associated surreal soundbites for post game interviews. once I had completed this task I would write the names of each player on a piece of paper, fold it up, place it in the half-time draw tombolla drum and randomly generate my team selection-ensuring no less than 3 players are out

  42. Force majeure is not a Bristolian term for shoving an Ultravox CD where the sun doesn’t shine, it’s a legal get out for situations like this. This club is a business, it doesn’t matter who the owner is, the income and expenditure has to comply with FFP.

  45. For me, I’d like to get Morrell and Walsh back into the squad of their loans are over. Possibly Moore, too. Other than that, the Palmer/Afobe partnership bore fruit at the start of the season (and also brought the best out of Massengo) and I’d go back to that for the remaining games. 3-4-1-2: Bentley; Kalas, Benkovic, Baker; Perreira, Massengo, Smith/Morrell, Dasilva; Palmer; Afobe, Wells. Eliasson’s off at the end of the season, so back to the bench he goes. Diedhiou, great as he’s been, would be a good option off the bench and hopefully his omission would stop us lumping it an

  46. About 25 years ago, I was doing a care home review in Redland. The lady i was reviewing had a daughter who lived nearby in Westbury Park I think it was who was an actress. She told me that she was very good at accents, particularly the Bristolian one and said something (that she'd quoted in an episode of Casualty or some such) in said "Bristolian" vocal. Sounded like Pam Ayres. I nodded kindly and muttered something patronisingly reassuring that she was, indeed, the Robert De Niro of female, British, regional accents.
