I am surprised I haven't seen a video like this of the Rovers ground being built, can anyone help me with a link?4 points

In that forty years, they've tried all sorts to get someone to build them a stadium, or give them some land. Blamed everyone and everything when it's gone wrong and, even formed a political party to fight the local elections in "Bristol", while they were paying the city of Bath their business rates. and blaming Bristol for their troubles. They have also done everything in their power to stop our club moving away from them, from opposing our new stadium, the superstore at AG, furnishing opponents with information, to not supporting the WC bid. They are a stain on our city, as much as those " anarchy type protesters" who choose violence against the authorities. I'd also go as far as to say that, some of those protesters, even looked and dressed like gasheads. Whenever they bring 1982 up, I always without fail correct them. Even some of our supporters believe we went bankrupt back then. A deal was brokered and accepted by the creditors to "accept" 20p in the pound for outstanding debt. A new company was formed, which took over all assets, except players of worth like Mick Harford and Jan Moller, who were sold to pay those debts. That new company also took over the registration of the football club, so effectively, it was a takeover by a newly formed company. Not too much different than whenever a company gets taken over, which is what I expect will happen to them and, this time the owner will have to swallow their own debts, before selling assets to replace that loss.4 points

I really can’t fathom why any City fan could give two shits about Joey Barton and the gas.............3 points

To be fair, they have 5 months left to do any snagging ready for the start of the 21/22 season as promised.3 points

I'm struggling to understand why Preston would want him tbh - can anyone enlighten me? Hopefully it's all rubbish and he continues on with the exceptional work at the gas.2 points

The circus never stops oved there! But honestly I hope they do and he gets what's coming to him (in terms of calling others negligent). He complains about the training sessions on Fridays but his record for rovers is worse then Both his predecessors.1 point

Great interview @Shtanley. I got acquainted with the Idles a bit whilst listening to Radio 6 recently. However due to my advancing years, I couldn't tell you anything about their music except I was impressed enough to look them up on spotify. That drummer sounded a bit like Joe Bryan to me. And the football chat was a bit more on topic than usual without Dave there being an antagonist.1 point

Looks like he's considering swapping his cap for the sailors hat. The picture gets weirder/funnier every time I look at it !1 point

His home is in the North West. PNE have a very nice stadium. PNE are in the Championship. PNE appear a very well run club. Of course he'll stay in a tented swamp, in L2, miles away from home.1 point

Its a no brainer for Barton 67654. Properly run club with a famous tradition. A club that looks to stay within its budget & develope its own talent, it has a solid core fan base and a nicely redeveloped stadium. COMPLETELY the opposite to that shower of sheiks up at tent city. Plus he gets to move nearer home of his own accord for the time being rather than somewhere at her Majesty's pleasure1 point

"Bit woke". I understand this to mean "cares about social injustice". So that would be, on the whole, a good thing, yes?1 point

I think it's disgracefully embarassing that the 998th richest man on the Planet accepts a £100,000 handout from the Govt, when people are using foodbanks. If SL want's a Womens Team, then pay for it, not get Govt handouts. SL earns more than that in interest a day. Pretty sure that money could have been used in a better way, than propping up a Football club owned by a multi-billionaire1 point
