  1. Cider head posted a fantastic piece on here back in 2012 about Deryn Coller's part in saving the Club. Deryn worked day and night, put in £70k of his own money, all his savings at the time (without his wife knowing). Got Ken Sage involved, and with others saved the Club from extinction.
  2. Thank you for saving Bristol City Football Club in 1982. Never forget what these two Gentleman did for this Football Club.
  3. Briz fc v Cadbury Heath playing Tues, 1st September 7.30pm
  4. I would say the Assistant that can impose his point of view with validity is worth keeping around
  5. Which makes you wonder what was the point of him being here?
  6. Great questions by Twentyman. Shame he wasn't on the City interviewing panel as he would of been the only one who knows anything about football.
  7. Together, Holden, Simpson and Downing could be the most experienced pre-match Cone setters in the league. Watch out Premiership here we come......
  8. Well done louis, keep it going!
  9. Same here but it was Lou Peters on the wing!
  10. Played as a schoolboy with Kevin Mabbutt, Steve White, Gary Megson for Parkway Juniors. Mabbutt and I also played for Bristol Boys together. Played for a team called Henbury Colts in the Bristol Junior League on Saturday afternoons. In those days as far as I can remember there was only one league per age group. We might of lost twice in 4 seasons. Shaun Penny would usually score a double hatrick per game. Always thought a team mate called Ian Carr was our best player and thought he would be a pro, he seemed to have everything. He ended up at Bristol Manor Farm. Dave Jenkins ex Arsenal & To
  11. Minehead had Andy Leitch, Jimmy Jenkins, Mike Madge, Ninny Durbin, Phil Brake. All top non-league players. Tony Clausen ended playing for Watchet Town in Somerset Prem managed by his brother if I remember rightly. Played against him many a time.
  12. Reminds me of Graham Taylor confused instruction to substitute Nigel Clough when he was about to come on for England in 1994.
  13. Taylor Moore knocked on the chairman's door and asked if he could be the Manager.
  14. If anyone should have a stand named after them it should be Deryn Coller and Ken Sage.
  15. Best imo has to be Atyeo, was it 6 caps and 5 goals? How Henry McKop ever got a pro contract god knows.

Fantastic delivery of crosses. Hit's them like a shot. A centre forwards dream winger. Best since Walshie.
  17. Mayor perhaps would be better suited to push for the Arena to built at the Fruit Market.
  18. Has anyone got a video of the Van head butt gas hard nut. Need to shut a gashead up.
  19. Both sides playing with energy and it's good to see them having a go at each with numbers attacking the box.
  20. He was a strong, quite aggresive winger which was unusual in those days. Remember watching him when he came to City in the late 60's and then meeting him when I signed for Bath City youths in the mid 70's, If my memory serves me right he was the Commercial Manager there. RIP Alan.
  21. 19 year old Bournemouth 3rd choice keeper lMark Travers looked the part against Spurs, maybe a season loan here would benefit both.
