Ok, so I like Johnson as a coach, he’s established us a credible championship side who are regularly considered play off contenders. I don’t expect him and his team to be faultless at this level given their experience. However, we have a very talented squad but appear unsure how to get the best out of it. Now the narrative has turned to focusing on the league and targeting the play offs, which is rightly the minimum expectation given the progression of the club and investment in all aspects. The objective on reaching the playoffs is surely to win what is essentially 3 cup ties. With this in mind and given the nature of the FA Cup defeat to lower league opposition can we trust the current coaching team to succeed at this when we’re up against what will be far superior sides compared to League 1 opponents? What can they learn from the cup exit? I’m not fussed about us missing a 4th round glamour tie, but more concerned about our ability to compete if we are to reach our playoff objective. Our league position is a real positive given the recent performances but tactically it feels stale and inconsistent at the moment - where will the inspiration come from?
Have successfully streamed from an internal US flights where the picture wasn’t great but not bad for 30,000ft. They are pretty well equipped for inflight WiFi on those type of flights. Tried a few times on Virgin Atlantic to catch the end of matches after streaming on mobile data and it’s hopeless and expensive - in fact I wouldn’t bother with their WiFi at all
Agreed, this season will be a real test for the coaching team, with so many new players and losing some key characters. It’s seems you have to run fast to stand still these days in almost every aspect of life; business, commerce, sport. Every club, every business & everyone are racing towards similar goals. Trying to progress in the Championship is no different if not tougher considering the prize at stake and passion involved: and it will continue get tougher each season. None of us have any idea if the changes will take us on or hold us back this season. But judging by the end of last season and the game on Sunday along with losing Webby. I believe we’d all accept there was a strong chance of us going backwards this season - so something needed to be done before window closes. Here’s hoping it all clicks soon
