  1. There is something on the City Till I die Facebook page about a wallet found including season card. Initials PK
  2. You’re not wrong, although we also made a permanent signing later that same season of a striker from a lower division club, who also made a massive contribution to us staying up.
  3. It’ll have to be YouTube then I guess. Often surprises me how different some of the goals are when I watch them back compared to how I thought I saw them at the time.
  4. Great report as always @Olé I was stood near you (worked out which one was you) and am amazed by your attention to detail. More so as I expected you to be making copious notes during the game but that’s clearly not what you do. I too thought the second one had gone straight in. Not always keen to watch the goals again after City away games but definitely looking forward to seeing last night’s again.
  5. That says a huge amount about the type of person you are sir. Huge respect to you. Like many I’m lost for words that a grown man could behave like that under ANY circumstances
  6. Looked like 300 odd to me. Bizarrely some of their fans tried to cause a bit of trouble after the game, according to my daughter’s social media. Anyone see anything?
  7. I 100pc agree. I was only posting in jest.
  8. You’re clearly a gert Ted as you’ve conveniently ignored the Power Boat racing in April 95 to Plymouth in midweek whereas City took just over a thousand to Wycombe in midweek, which is about the same distance. Broadly similar away followings….. as a percentage of home attendances.
  9. I remember that, reckon we were 3-0 up at the time. Good set of fans. Always bring a lot and make plenty of noise
  10. Exactly. Plus surely if your game was really turgid, it would have made concentrating on the updates from the City game a lot easier.
  11. That’s an unfair comparison Graham, There wasn’t a balloon fiesta in Plymouth a few weeks ago, nor was there cricket on down there a few days ago.
  12. I think we lost 4-2. Didn’t Shutt score both City goals?
  13. When I lived in Aylesbury I loved. City as much as I do now but didn’t get to the Gate more than a few times a season. Did Watford and Luton away a few times though. Also did Cambridge, Southend, Gillingham and a few other aways I might not have done if I’d been in Bristol at the time. Did you ever get to see the Ducks @SecretSam ? They had a framed programme from a cup game at City on the wall in the Buckingham Road bar..
  14. What’s going on over in Pyongyang? Why has he been allowed 3 posts?
  15. I was in the “singing section” and it felt very loud today. Nearly everyone in there appeared to enjoy the game and really get behind the team. Looked like other areas were giving it a go too, notably the Dolman.
  16. I took last season’s card on Tuesday by mistake. Old ticket was still good for discount etc. Only noticed the problem when trying to get into the ground. Had to pay 5 pounds for a reprint. Have since cut of last season’s ticket. Getting a replacement issued for a lost season card cost £10 last season
  17. Hmmmm Assume they’re still ‘Shooting for the moon and rustling a few feathers’ because of course ‘He gets it’.
  18. Another in the enclosure. Seem to recall catching my ear on the East End railings when jumping onto the pitch.
  19. There was cricket at Glos as well (a couple of days ago) plus several thousand will be saving their money for Barnsley away on Tuesday
  20. I was there Saturday and would certainly say the atmosphere was ‘lively’ but there was no real threat of violence. I was surprised at the number of police there. Police and stewards summed to take quite a relaxed approach, as there were quite a few ‘missiles’ going back and forth - I think it was mainly food. The City fan with the flare was hardly discreet, so I can only think he wouldn’t have known what the likely punishment would be, not that I understand how fans smuggle them in, with nearly everyone being patted down on entry. The closest to any real trouble I saw was one of our fans trying to steam into the Hull fans on his own at full time, but luckily one of his mates seemed to manage to get to him before the police did and carry him out.
  21. Just got home. Was like a drowned rat earlier. Was it worth it? Hell yeah! Still can’t quite believe what happened. It didn’t even seem like it was going to be even remotely close for mot of the chase
  22. Glad all is (relatively) ok. Saw couple of police cars when I drove past on way to P and R
  23. Hope whoever it is is Ok. Can’t see any delays on the live departures.
  24. Great to hear from you Mark. Nice to see you giving credit to McKenna too. No doubt you’ll remain fully supportive of him if things don’t quite go to plan next season
  25. Great work reaching 250 editions. I will make a special effort to remember to bring cash today. With the ground being cashless now I’m out of the habit of bringing cash.
