  1. A Job for... Seen in clifton buying a flat.... Seen in the M5 services.... See: 'A Joke'
  2. Who would have though COVID would have been the thing to highlight the mess of Scottish Football!!!! joking. I know that will offend a few who know more about Scottish football than I do.
  3. I said the other day on another thread that in my view given everything that's happened over the last few weeks, that the club needed to be transparent in their explanation for this appointment. I honestly thought they would have and we'd had received something quite special today to win the customers back over. After reading Marks statement though, I just feel ripped off and cheated. I can understand now why there's so much frustration because of what Landsdown and Ashton originally said they were looking for to tonight's statement - there is no explanation (or honesty) for what changed
  4. This is how long rumours should last for. Start it. Confirm firm it. End it. All in one page. And not drawn out over 100. More like this please.
  5. Christ. Another 100 pages of guesses and anger to go.
  6. Completely agree. I hold my hand up without regret and say I asked for my ST refund (partly becuase I had no interest in watching closed door games and partly becuase of the job risk) but I did that understanding that COVID is impacting everyone to an extent and this club has to watch its finances even more closely - just like the fans who are at risk of the jobs/income. I can understand if this is the reason why the club are going down this route. If times were 'normal' and we'd gone down this route then I'd be confused about this, but times aren't normal and I don't think that's sunk i
  7. Not many threads questioning your valid point is there though? Which is what us frustraring. Something so significant as COVID having such a big impact on the game right now and virtually zero acknowledgment that this could be the reason the club may go down the 'cheap' route. Just all about the lack of ambition etc in appointing Holden over Hughton (to power phrase).
  8. Perhaps in say 6 months time we'll look back on these threads - and the lack of appreciation (or comments) recognising that COVID (like it or not) could be having a much greater impact on the clubs finances than people on here who are happy to criticise realise. Everyone is sick of COVID but I peolpe seem to think we can carry on as normal as if it doesn't exist or is having (or will not have) any impact on us. We could be looking at a lot of clubs collapsing financially and be grateful that we took a much more cautious approach in appointing a coach for cheaper wages. In addition I suspe
  9. Stepped up during a bad run of form where clearly things weren't right on the pitch. Changed things and managed to end that bad form and get the players believing again. Picked up points from games that I don't beleive LJ would've under the same set up, tactics and instructions he'd been running with. Agree they may not have been the cream of the crop of teams and there's still more to be done but the results were important and ending that poor run, and lifting the team was more important.
  10. What about during the period Dean was in charge? Say after his first 2 games? Were you shouting for Lee to come back then? DH wasn't my first choice, but if he takes over, give the guy chance and see what happens. Personally I think Dean got better results in the very short time he was in charge than LJ would have done so no, I wouldn't have Lee back - even after the last 5 weeks strange times.
  11. Not necessarily - I absolutely feel people should be treated with respect. We just have different opinions. That's OK. I'm just saying I can understand why some people might have had enough of taking so much verbal crap from people they don't know - or people that don't know enough about this situation and what's gone on behind the scenes. I personally don't like some of the comments aimed at the board on here.
  12. Why would that be horrifically unprofessional and wrong? There is a lot worse that goes on in the world of football. They as individuals take so much shit on here aimed at them personally that I'm sure it would be very tempting and they're only human. If (some) fans dish it out, some have to take it too.
  13. Everything is easier to hear after 6 pints
  14. Or a subtle 2 fingers up at some of the fans on here not to beleive everything that gets tweeted. If it does turn out to be Hughton or Cook i'm sure there will be lots of threads on here saying how we have the best, most ambitious board and we'll be in the PL season after next.
  15. now that I do agree with. The club could've handled the fans a whole lot better during this process and made themselves look alot more professional and popular. Cant justify that.
  16. But there hasn't been an appointment and some of the comments on here aimed at the board for something that hasn't yet happened all because of a joke of a media source is ridiculous
  17. People spouting such anger towads the board when nothings official is ridiculous. We could yet have the manager that people want but do you think there will be threads apologising for some of the comments?
  18. I really hope there's some humble pie to be eaten at the end of this
  19. Such a strange time to be a City fan isn't?
  20. Do you think its possibly not Holden then?
  21. I'll listen. Go on tell me.
  22. If this is true and he takes it then fair play to him. He hasn't done anything wrong. The club are going to have to release the most honest statement ever to explain their reasons to win over some fans. I think he/the board are quite fortunate fans may not be allowed back in the stadium from the start of next season and are hoping the results will be positive to win people over on this one otherwise it could get quite hostile. Again, if this is true.
  23. The amount of anger towards the club of the back of some Bristol Post/Live reporting before the club have announced anything. Might be true, but how the **** have Bristol Post or any 'reporter' associated with it suddenly become the oracle.
