  1. Are we allowed to add 'fans' to the 'rid list'?
  2. Lets not get carried away. Next game we lose, OTIB will resume to normal. Happy Christmas.
  3. If Wells is back, how refreshing would it be to see the Conway/Wells partnership sparkle again today?
  4. When i was in Malia back in 98 i was in a sports bar and there were team photos on the wall of all the big Premier League and European clubs....down in the corner was the team photo, cut out from a newspaper, of the biggest club of them all in front of the Dolman. Thought that was a bit strange to see so far away from home.
  5. Do you remember the old club shop attached to the Williams Stand? So much better in terms of stock and the variety was much better. Appreciate that probably came with larger financial costs which may not have been sustainable. But it was a much better customer experience.
  6. Why do people have to move on if they're still angry at the decision to sack Nigel? (Not a criticism at the OP at all). More because it's been said a few times recently. People are allowed to still voice their concerns about what happened, and the disgraceful way the Lansdowns managed it all. Personally i think it's been a huge step back (so far) in terms of what Nigel and his team were in the process of building whilst having the restrictions they had. I don't see Liam as an improvement over Nigel (yet, but it's still early days) and don't enjoy watching elements of the football that's being played since Liam took over (get the ball, stop, pass back and sideways). It's not entertaining to watch. Perhaps this will change moving forward. I don't support the Lansdown family anymore and believe they are out of order with the way they've managed this whole process (especially the terrible comms and rationale for doing this) as well as being completely out of touch with the fans BUT i can still get behind the team and will give Liam time to change my opinion (after all what choice do i have). I won't be renewing my season ticket though because i'm falling out of love with this club sadly especially after the treatment of Nigel and disrespect shown. Appreciate i'll probably get abuse for this but there you go.
  7. Keeper going down like that highlights everything wrong with this sport. Clearly over doing it and looking to influence the ref. If he'd stayed standing when he was barged, the ref would've probably given the foul for the contact. Keeper fell over like a toddler. Got what he deserved.
  8. The Injured Thread back on the top of the main page will help.
  9. As wind ups go, this is one of the worst and most confusing. What's the point.
  10. God i hope this isn't true. I really wish we could have Pearson back and just pretend the last week didn't happen! I really do wish now that Jon and Steve would sell up and leave. I don't think they really have any understanding of the damage they've caused.
  11. Oh god - 'Frank Lampard's Bristol City' - Steve won't like that. He'll be sacked after 5 minutes! No, no, no. Up there with half and half scarves!
  12. WTF!!!!! Have you looked at the depth of our squad recently? Who would you swap him for?
  13. Nigel did the right thing to bring him off - even if it was only a slight knock. We cannot risk adding more players to the injured list at the moment and we need as many fit for Cardiff as we can just to keep options available (especually with King going off). Sound tactical decision. I watched Roberts go and sit next to Nigel when he sat on the bench for quick chat before Roberts then moved to a different seat. No storming down the tunnel, no ignoring each other, and it didn't look like a heated chat. Suggested to me (from the body language from a distance) that he was 'ok' with the decision. I thought it was good player management for Nigel to have a chat about whatever it was. Perhaps it was re-assurance or to duscuss why he was brought off. I don't think there was anything suspicious or any suggestion Nigel wasnt happy with him in the short time he was on the pitch. Move on to Cardiff game now and hopefully he's fit to play a part.
  14. He walks, he gets nothing. He stays, he gets the negotiated pay off of the rest of his contract? I get your point though. If i knew my boss was about to sack me after doing a bloody good job under shity circumstances, i'd be inclined to put my feet up.
  15. Truly sorry to read this Sid. Every day must be incredibly difficult for you. As someone else said, time will hopefully help you find some way to manage what you're going through. Do look after yourself and i hope you're getting the help and support you need as well.
  16. It's a really good listen. I liked it. I only remember the 1 story about Brooker and Orr getting in to trouble on Corn Street resulting in prison time but i didnt know about the other occasion that Lita talks about. I'm not confussed am I - that's not related to the same story is it?
  17. To be fair to Alex's Bournmouth choice, he might not have expected to be injured for as long as he has been. Or that their team might have struggled as they have done so far. Hindsight is easy to judge. I guess going forward he may come back soon and have a fantastic season for them and put himself back in the shop window that if they do come down, another PL club (or abroad) might come in and snap him up. Or perhaps he stays, they get relegated but they bounce straight back up to the PL. Who knows. There are too many scenarios this could play out for some to call his move to them a mistake just yet.
  18. My point was related to the comment suggested earlier by someone else - the hypothetical reason he might have been sacked - which i dont think is a reasonable or justifiable reason to sack someone. Just talking about that point more.
  19. Principle? Was his pay up enough/acceptable in this circumstance? Surely somewhere a line has to be drawn at some point. Appreciate it's probably not the reason for him leaving but it's an interesting thought.
  20. God, can you imagine if this was true? If i was in John Eustace's shoes i'd be considering legal action for wrongful dismissal or something. There must be grounds for some sort of legal action if this was the reason for it.
  21. Fevs opening his Heat Map draw!
  22. Horrible injury. These always remind me of David Busst.
