  1. Yeah it doesn’t particularly bother me, just find it a bit weird tbh.
  2. I couldn’t give two shits if he was in a casino but I find it baffling that if you can’t play for your country at the last minute you aren’t fussed enough to watch the game. That’s the bit that I find odd tbh.
  3. It’s not nonsense at all. They will laugh you out the city if you ask for spaghetti bolognese in Bologna. It’s served with Tagliatelli or Tortellini. They will tell you that spaghetti is for Naples, not Bologna.
  4. I like him a lot more now that Downsy has stopped calling him Piera.
  5. It’s about £4.99 too much for what you get
  6. Bit of an overreaction to a throwaway moment, but I can see why LJ is annoyed. He does seem incredibly fragile on the face of it. Villa fans made similar comments, one in work said something to me like 'great player when he fancies playing, shame about the 10 times a year he doesn't', which at the time I thought was a bizarre comment but I guess he was similarly fragile there.
  7. Was there any explanation in his post match for the baffling transformation at half time that saw us go from a team who were absolutely dominant, and barely afforded the opposition a kick, to one who had 10 men behind the ball for 95% of the second half and could barely get out of our own defensive third in the second half. 9/10 is fair for the first half, but the second half, good grief. If we'd have been playing a half decent side they'd have had a hatful.
  8. The point is those people are working match day ticket sales anyway. There is no additional overhead to help the handful of people who need a season ticket reprint to gain admission. In fact having witnessed the ticket 'office' first hand today, you could operate it with half the staff if it was run efficiently. There is no valid argument to levy a £5 printing fee on a season ticket holder, who is receiving the same 'product' as someone who pays on the day, and upon whom no fee is levied. It's a cash grab. At the very least you should get your first 'offence' free but there really is no justification for the charge.

Those in glass houses, we've a couple in our side who go down in a stiff breeze too. I don't like it any more than you but we're hardly innocent ourselves.
  10. Absolutely. It’s fair game if you’re doing it every week but a £5 printing charge is taking the piss.
  11. Is it just me being grumpy or is that completely excessive/unnecessary ? There’s no overhead to the club other than the bit of paper it’s printed on, not like you need to take on additional ticket staff to perform this function. Yeah I get that I’m a numpty for forgetting it but it just feels like a licence to print money to me. You wouldn’t dream of levying a £5 printing charge on a POTD customer so why do it to loyal fans who have given you their hard earned a year in advance?
  12. Do you have a link to the official site article where that was stated please? Must have missed that.
  13. 100%. He was a dead man walking from that point on, he completely lost it that night.
  14. The owner was content for them to be a bang average team. With that direction from the top, that was all they were going to be. And if you want a man to get ‘bang average’ out of a ‘poor’ group, then you can’t do much better than Mick. Only my opinion, but if they come back up this season then IMO they’ll just then be the same average team they were when they were last in the championship, and thus hounding Mick out and replacing him has done what exactly? Absolutely nothing and taken them two two years. I completely agree that sometimes you have to go backwards a step to go forwards to, but that analogy only really applies if there’s any actual driver for change from the top down.
  15. If the owner won’t put his hand in his pocket they’ll be exactly what they were under McCarthy at best. All of that is a symptom of the owner, who was the real problem there and not Mick. He must have been laughing his cock off when they went down!
