  1. I bought one of these for my ten year old son, and the way he's growing at the moment seriously worries me that by the time of delivery he won't get very much wear out of it. It wasn't cheap either, especially with his name and number printed on the back. Likewise, I ordered the home shirt for myself and I still haven't received it yet. I can only assume it's because both shirts are on the same delivery as I refused to pay two separate delivery costs which were extortionate! Ps. I'd like to say that I haven't heard a peep out of the club on this, even just to say they're waiti
  2. Molineux terracing you had to enter at the top of the stand and work your way down.
  3. What's Kevin Keegan upto these days? He knows how to put exciting, promotion winning teams together!
  4. It has to be someone who's got promotion from the championship before and knows what to do, so for me... Mick McCarthy or Chris Hughton. Or...Mark Robbins as a wildcard who hasn't been promoted from the championship.
  5. Indeed, I don't think we have a great track record with our streaming service working flawlessly - let's hope it hangs together on the day.
  6. This ^^^ I'm don't understand that either. A football stadium would be in use for regular larger sized crowds compared to a concert venue, and I would suspect the football club would probably want a slice of the cake for putting on their own concerts also, so it's bit hypocritical to turn one down in favour of the other??!
  7. ...and Dean Radford (went to Southampton)
  8. I'm currently reading a book about City's all time record cap holder for England - Billy Wedlock - and it's quite an eye opener to hear that back in the late 1890's, Bedminster and Bristol City(formally Bristol South End) we're major rivals, and yet they wanted to move forward and become a powerhouse in footballing terms, and so amalgamated. Similar circumstances to what you're describing as there was a strong rivalry between the two, and pretty much all of the assets from one club was used compared to the other, the exception being the two grounds, whereby the newly merged club shared gr
  9. Wasn't there a discussion around the time that we bought the division, but when you compared our outgoing transfer fees vs incoming transfer fees, we were acutally in credit? (Admittedly, that doesn't take into consideration the wages of the players we had on board)
  10. Best managers has to be Terry Cooper and Joe Jordan. Even in Jordan's 2nd term he still assembled a decent squad that Ward just had to tweak to get us promotion. I understand the feel good factor that Gary Johnson brought to the club, but the football was pretty boring at times. Cotts showed how to win promotion in style. Worst - too many to mention, but got to be between Osman, Pulis and O'Driscoll. I'd give Benny the benefit of the doubt. In the season we got relegated, if there were another half dozen games I reckon he would've kept us up. He got us playing pretty decently in

Evening Jerry, and we'll done on accepting the SLO.....you'll be great at it. I know it's been asked many times before, but with your new role, thought I'd ask once again and try my luck... Is there any chance we can have the terracing lights switched off during night games please? Or at least ask for a justification why they're off during concerts but not for football please? Many thanks, and good luck with the role.
  12. Interesting to hear LJ say on the radio yesterday that when Watkins has simple instructions to follow, he does it very well. Does this imply that LJ tries to overcomplicate things too much?? I remember at the beginning of the preseason, LJ mentioned he wanted all the attacking players to be fluid in attack. Are we asking them to do things that are just a little too complicated and the players would benefit from a simpler approach? Or do we have a mixture of players who get it, and others who don't??
  13. Would there be the option to recall Paterson or Matty Taylor if we're that low on strikers?
  14. Not even getting that far. As soon as I launch the App, I get an image of the new club crest, with a horizontal scrolling black progress bar at which point, the app says "Bristol City FC has stopped. Close App or Send Feedback". Absolutely no option to go back, or to press X (which isn't there)
  15. On Twitter this morning, the club are claiming a sell out with 26399 tickets being sold, however according to http://stadiumdb.com/stadiums/eng/ashton_gate the capacity is 27,699, which implies another 1300 seats could\should be available? They can't all be restricted views, netted off, allocated to TV cameras etc... can they?
  16. Anybody know where the club is at with regards to the building of the Basketball arena and hotel complexes? Has planning permission been applied for\granted yet? Any idea of timescales?
  17. For some reason I enjoyed Crawley away, can't possibly think why
  18. I'm pretty sure I've got a scarf from that final which says "Freight Rovers Trophy"
  19. Pretty much agree with this. I do wonder whether there should be something to put into law whereby you cannot be offended on someone elses behalf. Basically, it should be up to the person on the receiving end of the abuse that should report it. I'm pretty sure this would reduce the number of complaints by a lot, and actually leave it up to the genuine victims to decide whether they're offended or not.
  20. All this talk of merging clubs in nonsense in my eyes. I'd rather then clubs went bust and then started at the bottom end of the Pyramid. If we went down that route, we'd have a league similar to that of Scotland, where there's few teams left to make up the numbers, and sides would have to play each other 4 times a season! Football is all about local communities and historical relationships with their areas, not about merging and franchising football clubs. The quicker the Premier League and all the obscene money associated with it can go bust, the better. Actually, no, let me
  21. I suppose the club needs to wait for the Wickes contract to expire, and all the other leases other businesses have on the land that was purchased. Have they all expired yet?
  22. Cureton got a lot of abuse, can't remember many others getting that level from all four sides of the ground. Another was Jason McAteer when playing for Tranmere.
  23. Hope he's sat down in row z if that's at Ashton Gate!
