As the rumoured price for the fruit market site is £65m and the Mem is worth probably less than a third of that, how do the numbers stack up?

It is £65 million but rovers aren't paying that.

Maybe tweet the mayor's head of office supporting rovers fan. Council have brokered the deal for fruit market and will be partners going forward.

That seems like a massive conflict of interest, perhaps some of the people of Bristol might like this issue investigated. Planners being pressed to force things through?

    Judicial review may be?

To be fair let them build it.

Affordable housing built at memorial ground will be the reason the council involved.

With no planning permission submitted ?

It's being arranged and brokered by Bristol city council. Rovers first buy the fruit market then put in application that will fly through.

If you are talking about the fruit market then there is a fair amount of housing close by (such as Paintworks) & a lot more is planned in the surrounding area, such as Arena Island & up towards Midland Rd.

I would not be surprised in the slightest though if they get the support of the current mayor and his associates  :gasmask:

Chief of staff for mayor is a massive rovers fan.

Didn't they already do that? Long way to go on that.

I'm sure Marvin has been bending a few rules to allow a developer to buy council owned land, with the promise of PP thrown in.

Interesting to see what developments these new owners have in mind. If anything, it's a great site for a new ground, very little housing around, at the moment and good transport links. That whole area is due for an improvement. Which raises the question, why put future developments in jeopardy by involving BRFC in it?

    The deal is done.

  5. Will city still be 7th on a points per game situation if 51% of championship teams decide to end season.

    Just seen this.

Leeds and West Brom would automatically be promoted from the Championship to the Premier League. The play-offs would see Fulham, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Preston compete for promotion.

Charlton, Luton and Barnsley would drop down from the Championship into League One.

  6. Think we need to remember the club will need our support , including money , during this difficult time.

If people can afford it they should still purchase a season ticket to help club out.

Obviously there will be some supporter's who need help or refunds but let's be honest there are plenty of others who go down the gate who won't be effected massively financially by this covid19 crisis.

You are confusing this forum for the crowd at the ground. And you don't go to other grounds. It would appear.

It's more a case of what grounds I haven't been to actually...only 7 left to do. Also watch England home and away( although not as much as I like in last year). So I'm definitely well experienced with knowing when and where I see/ feel a hostile atmosphere. Been city season ticket holders since 1989. Only missed 2002 season due to working abroad.

So his life is less important is what your saying,do you honestly give two hoots if Charlie is next in line

I believe in the monarchy yes. Didn't say less important and your dad could easily get a test for copd if he's showing symptoms like Charlie as your dad clearly in the high risk category.

Covid19 doesn't recognise class or privilege or gets everyone.
