Big win for Plymouth. Looks like 2 out of Hudds, Sheff W and Brum going down now
-
BTW - I think the poll options should have been split further: Back - I'm confident he is the right man for the job Back - I'm not convinced but don't think it is the right time for a change Sack

I don't see the point in changing again now when we have nothing to play for (and realistically you would be looking at a caretaker anyway). I would suggest reassessing in May. It won't happen though as it would make the board look bad. So they will double down and give him money in the summer.

Challenge is though can you break down the weaker teams if they park the bus. -

Excellent result. Should kill off any lingering worries about being sucked into the relegation race -
Everton fans keep moaning about how badly they've been treated but as I see it they have been very lucky. If the FFP penalty had been applied last season, then they would have been definitely relegated instead of Leicester. If you take the on-pitch points and pro-rata, you get: Everton = 49 points ________________ Luton = 30 points Burnley = 22 points Sheff U = 17 points so even with a 10 or even 12 point deduction Everton ought to stay up moderately comfortably. The only thing that might cost Everton is if they firesale players in Jan. There's also Forest who pro rata to 38 points. They would be more at risk than Everton with a suggested 6-point penalty.

Good signing

Current replays are: Everton vs. Palace Wolves vs. Brentford Rovers vs. Norwich Eastleigh vs. Newport Brum vs. Hull Bolton vs. Luton Blackpool vs. Forest City vs. West Ham I'd hope we'd be a top pick currently, especially as West Ham are the highest placed Prem team left (although that will change if Pool/Arsenal draw), I suppose they might put Eastleigh on as a NL team but wouldn't get as good ratings.

I would love for someone to pin down JL or Tinnion on the top 6 expectations. If you look at the championship on transfermarkt. They have us 20/24 for the value of our squad. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/startseite/wettbewerb/GB2 By that metric, we are overperforming to be 11th.

Poor game. Might have won if we'd started with the team that finished. -

Well Manning has a job on at half time.I suppose at least we aren't losing -
How long do you think Liam Manning will be City manager?
Loderingo replied to Loderingo's topic in Football Chat
The intention is not to be disrespectful. We all know that every City manager will leave at some point. The intention is to gauge how well people think he will do and then we can use it as a benchmark to judge actual performance. Personally, I was sad to see Nige go but will give Liam a fair hearing -

I was originally thinking just over a year, based on the fact that we will likely sell some of our better players next summer and not replace them, but I've changed my mind to 3-5 years, based on the fact that the Lansdowns will be seriously under pressure if this appointment fails,so they'll have to splash the cash a bit. -

A win is a win I guess. Wednesday gave it a good go and credit to their fans. -

I'd like us to try 2 up top, especially as they are likely to park the bus if it's 0-0 with 20 mins left. -
A phrase has been going round in my head all day that is normally said about departing managers but applies very well to the owner: Steve Lansdown has taken this club as far as he can and it's now time for a change, if we are to make progress.

The good news is that there are no more midweek games until 29th Nov and that 2 of the next 3 games are against sides in the relegation zone. Hopefully by the time we get to the end of November, we'll have some players back. -
One thing that puzzles me with the Euros - how have Albania suddenly got so good? Beat Czechia 3-0 last night and topping their group.
