  1. The magic's going to wear off pretty quick...
  2. Their name will likely appear in the small print on Barton's court papers in his upcoming legal case
  3. Gas miss a penalty at the death hahahahahahaha
  4. Barton giving the referee an ear full at half time. What a lovely bloke....
  5. Just need the wombles to score now. Come on ?, knock one in your own net
  6. Considering the gas are meant to be fighting for their lives, they really are playing totally ****
  7. I think mathematically not, but near as damn
  8. Milton Keynes have started strongly, so fingers crossed
  9. Nah, then the comedy is finished. I'd rather them have a nice drawn out stay in non-league, still clinging on to their delusions of grandeur
  10. "For all there material wealth they are not that far in front of us on the pitch" Really?!?!?! I had the misfortune of watching one of their matches the other day. Made the Downs league look like the world cup
  11. Intimidating in that you have a genuine chance of injury, after the stairs collapse or the roof caves in on your head
  12. surely that's them down, barring some total miracle in the last few matches. They were total shite and no confidence left
  13. feels weird celebrating Swindon winning.... I just hope this win doesn't give them any momentum, and both clubs end up going down
  14. ohh that is crushing for the gas. Going down!
  15. They can't do anything. Just after I posted that, a gas player put a shot about 400 yards over the the bar. As you say, both teams are terrible. If you're feeling charitable, it could be down to nerves: cagey relegation 6 pointer, local rivals etc.
  16. I've forgotten how turd the quality of football is at the bottom of league 1
  17. I'm sorely tempted to shell out to stream the match this evening. It distresses me putting money into the club but could be a decent laugh Would love it if both went down ?
  18. It'll be interesting to see how the government tackles the post-coronavirus tax problem. The Tories have historically always looked out for their own, which means tax cuts for the rich, but with so many people heading to unemployment, the money will have to come from somewhere. I don't think austerity will be a serious option either: if there are no jobs, you can't hammer the unemployed with ever greater cuts. We may see a significant change along the lines of introduction of universal basic income, where everyone gets paid a minimum salary. It'll cost a fortune of course, but it might be the best way forward
