  1. I didn't realise Drinkwater was playing for Reading - his career has gone off the rails a bit...
  2. Rotherham in 2007 to finally get us back up to the second tier was a highlight for sure. Not the 'best' match or result ever, but was arguably the start of the club becoming a relatively secure championship club. Great day out too - with the weather and pitch invasion after
  3. What happened to Luton's defence? Great hold up play Semenyo. Took out 2 players by himself. I'd be happy if the transfer window closed now, so there's no chance he's off until at least the end of the season
  4. Running at defenders is not really his strong point, but yes - so much time and space there
  5. also ridiculous how much this team has improved in the last couple of months. For the first time in years, we have some genuine hope for the future
  6. Ridiculous how much Semenyo has improved since the start of the season
  7. Let's not forget tho: those pay offs come out of the pockets of ordinary supporters. I don't blame Ranieri at all - not his fault he got sacked, he had no time at all. But if I was a Watford supporter, I would be extremely pissed off with the board's policy of endless sackings + pay offs, and I would def not be putting more money into the club until that changes
  8. Pring is the player I'd pick out. Strong, takes responsibility and good positional sense. Maybe Scott and Semenyo are more naturally talented, but Pring looks the more comfortable Championship standard at this point IMO
  9. Even if he plays well, it'll be in the league below - nothing to suggest he could keep that up at this level
  10. Problem with that is, you will make it very difficult for any newly promoted team to compete and the gap between the Premiership and Championship will get even wider. Imagine if we (ever) get promoted - we'd need to spend a significant amount to invest in players capable of keeping us there, but at the huge risk that we go straight back down and then likely go into administration Interesting idea from the OP regards points deductions. I can't see it passing though. Simply because by definition the bigger clubs (getting PP) get more say in the matter than smaller clubs.
  11. What head tapping thing did he do? I must have missed that one Signing for Cardiff isn't going to win him any popularity contests but again, we got a lot of money for him, which I think mitigates that a lot. I really think a lot of supporters will just boo any ex-player, regardless of the circumstances
  12. I don't get it at all. Both showed respect, played well here, moved on for very decent fees.
