Now is a time for calm - I for one, was delighted when Nige committed his future to us and whilst I’m as disappointed and frustrated as everyone else, we are making huge strides off the pitch……Nige and the boys now need to start delivering on it! I think everyone knows that. An encouraging CEO appointment today and with one or two additions in Jan, I have confidence that we will be absolutely fine - we do however, need to find our home form and quick. We’ve got some big home games to come against teams who will be in and around us during the 2nd half of the season - Brum, Hull, Wigan, Blackpool etc…..these are the games that will define our season; the players need to have confidence to play at home (defo missing on Boxing Day)….in addition to the management team, we as supporters, have a huge part to play in giving them the confidence. Getting through this season (for all the known reasons) is vitally important (it always was going to be a tough campaign) and throwing it all up on the air by changing the manager at this point is in my view, not the answer. Agreed. Really good interview - as many have said before, we are in safe hands with NP at the helm - the club are working through the wrongs of previous approach to spending and culture of the club (on & off the pitch). Sense that we will see a couple of additions in Jan which would be good for everyone (club and supporters)

We continue to leak soft goals but that back 3/5 is more than good enough - the challenge of course, is getting them all fit and confident

Spoke with Nige and Curtis in the car park after the game - their view was that the “tug” on NW would have been harsh but that the “high boot” one was a definite penalty

Give NP just a small slice of the money spent during LJ tenure and we’d be much better off. Give him all of what LJ spent and I genuinely believe that we’d be finishing higher than 8th. Instead, NP and RG have had to unravel the mess (financial and cultural) left behind by LJ and MA.

The appointment of our next CEO will be key - not only in terms of continuing the great work that RG has achieved but also….whether NP can work with them. Wonder if Bevington may be back of the agenda?

I’d like to see us return to Wells/Conway up front with AW behind. That was when we looked most potent…..with AW having had a break, hopefully, that will help us, starting with Swansea on Saturday ? Then we’ve got AS to come on as an “impact sub” (which is when he scored his goals from earlier in the season)

They will come to Ashton Gate in big numbers next Saturday, expecting to win. Hopefully, the boys will respond to yesterdays poor performance so that we send them back over the bridge with nil point! COYRs

Whenever I’ve driven there, have always parked at the Holiday Inn which is about 10 mins walk. It has/had a decent bar for food/drinks too.
