  1. Another brilliant, insightful and honest interview from Nige - in his word, “we did good business with those we brought in and brilliant business getting rid of those that left” Bring on next season…..
  2. Danger is…..strike currently planned on the Saturday with warning of disruption on the Sunday morning…..ideally, I’d be going on the train but think there could be delays on Sunday morning and so booked CATS at this stage. If strike is cancelled, I may still re-consider and go on the train
  3. Can’t see King being able to play another 90 mins on Sat - possibly an hour but no more. If James is out, I’d start with Scott alongside King with AW in the 10. Would also be tempted to rest Bell and start with Mehmeti….
  4. I’d have played Mehmeti instead of Bell - other than that, side pretty much picks itself COYRs - let’s bounce back from Sat
  5. Hope they get what they deserve for the way they treat their managers. A club that remains in the Championship - they don’t deserve promotion
  6. Agreed - sadly, think that yesterday could well be the last time we see him in a City shirt. On his day, a brilliant player at this level but the last 12 months have been a nightmare for him in terms of his availability. I guess a lot depends on how keen he is to stay vs what City may be prepared to pay him. A deal similar to Baker/Weimann and he may well stay but if he wants closer to his current contract terms, he will be off….. Be interesting to see the prognosis of his latest injury……? it’s not as bad as Nige suggested it could be….
  7. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but even before the game, my front three would have been Andi, Nahki and Anis, with Sykes at RWB
  8. Just never got going today - a lack of fizz about our usual play…..Tuesday clearly had an impact More of a worry are the injuries to Williams and Kalas - squad looking very thin now…..
  9. Play like we have been playing and we’ve got a great chance of another three points…..just hope the boys have recovered from Tuesday in time. Mehmeti back in, will cause them some problems I’m sure ? COYRs
  10. I’m with you @YorkshireSection- let’s just get through in tact with no injuries etc, moving on to Sat away at Cardiff. Tonight is a total “free hit” with an opportunity for us to show the nation what we are all about as a club.
  11. Swansea were really poor - hope they play like that when we go there in a couple of weeks time! Ogbene was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch but as @Davefevssays, think our forward line is sorted now, barring any departures….
  12. Absolutely brilliant to see….exciting times ahead with Nige at the helm
  13. Agreed Does anyone know if he’s booked on Tuesday, would he be banned for two games ie do FA Cup bookings count? I know that if he was booked yesterday, he would have been OK for Tuesday and so assume it’s the same, the other way round?
  14. Well played today TK ? If he can maintain that level of performance and his fitness, I’d like to see him sign a new contract for the next couple of seasons
  15. Yep, sadly, they’ve got a very good record up there ?
  16. Gotta be the largest away allocation we’ve had there in over 20 years!!! Should make for a cracking atmosphere in away end ?
  17. Two awful sides! If we finish below either of them, I’d be hugely disappointed
  18. Mate of mine was on the Bristol flight tonight which is defo cancelled….they are now on the train at 530pm If it helps anyone - we are flying to Edinburgh at 7am tomorrow and then getting 10am train to Sunderland - gets in just after 12-noon Flight back from Edinburgh on Sunday morning The things we do to watch City!
  19. Anyone know how many tickets we’ve sold now? Looking forward to it……my first trip to Stadium of Light
  20. Calm! As I said previously in this thread, this (Wigan at home) is the sort of game we have a tendency to slip up in…..I hope I’m wrong tomorrow night! COYRs….let’s do it tomorrow ?
  21. Ashton will blame McKenna, sack him and then start another “rigorous process”…..when will club owners see him for what he really is……a fraud?
  22. Agreed - see Wednesday’s game as a big “litmus” test for us….come on City, let’s do it! ?
