  1. Majority will ignore the good points you make & just go along & yap exactly what your last paragraph states. Edit: or hit you with the emoji!
  2. Not criticising either, but completely different in the fact that Tammy may not of had any appearances, but was very highly rated & expected to break in to the Chelsea team sooner or later! Hopefully this lad can be a 1/4 as good as Tammy.
  3. Meh. Another loan signing seems a bit pointless.
  4. I must be watching a completely different season……the bloke will end up playing for a team better than us within a couple of years.
  5. Our keeper is shite, very lucky he’s an academy product as that seems to save him from criticism that many of our other keepers have faced over the years. Sure, he makes the odd great save here and there (as does every other keeper at this level) but he wouldn’t be number 1 at many, if at all any, at this level. Worse than Dean Gerken.
  6. That pesky bloody Dave Rennie…..it’s all his fault!
  7. Already seen online from City that there is a big banner thing of Tinnion in Section 82
  8. Just hope that if he has a successful spell here & he seems happy at the club, that it is all sorted nice & early in the pre-season one way or the other so we don't spend the whole summer on here with a "will he, won't he" saga that we had with Tomlin!
  9. So is there genuinely no buy option then? Only positive is that it’s not an obligation of £5mil……but this seems a real dumb way of using some of the Alex Scott resources.
  10. Wouldnt be too surprised if Burnley try moving the goalposts late in the talks. I really dont rate Kompany (despite all the media hype) & would be amazed if he kept them up…..surely they would want Twine to spend another 6 months out on loan getting fully up to speed with the Championship then going back in the summer ready for them to challenge for promotion again the following season. Hopefully if that is the case we would walk away from the deal…..all will be revealed in the next couple of days. If no news tonight i wouldnt be too surprised if we don’t hear anything until the day after West Ham.
  11. Loan without an option just makes no sense at all, if anything im edging more to it being a permanent deal over just a straight loan.
  12. Wasn't the supposed deadline for him to be recalled at midnight last night/this morning? If so, you would of expected Hull to of announced this by now, especially if they have missed out on him. If not, would probably seem more likely that a permanent move to Hull is the preference.
  13. Based on his stats (which i know you can’t always judge by) at this level, i would argue he hasn’t done enough for his price to of increased. Burnley overpaid for him to begin with in my opinion, but due to parachute payments they were able to do so without it being a massive risk. I think anyone buying him now aren’t buying him for what he has done so far at this level, but more so for what he done at MK & Newport with the apparent potential to do the same at this level. So in my opinion his value hasn’t increased higher than the money Burnley paid, if anything i think £4mil would be a million too much. Burnley may very well want at least £5mil but they would struggle to find a buyer at that price.
  14. I think it’s come from a “source” online, i think James Piercy did a piece where apparenlty Burnley wanted £5mil. I agree with you, i really can’t see it being that much either tbh. If Burnley were to get relegated i could see them wanting close to that as they may use him in this league next year, but if they stay up i can’t see them demanding that as i don’t see how anyone would pay that much, especially as they only paid £4mil themselves.
  15. I have only seen it stated on here, which is why i have stated “assume” multiple times in the posts i have made. If it’s a loan for no money or a straigh transfer for less £3mil or less then happy ******* days!
  16. I do realise that it was 20 years ago (mental how time works innit?) & i never said anything about people being better than they were 20 years ago…..listening to the shite he has spouted off over the past few months is enough for me to realise he isn’t any better than he was 20 years ago at a managment level. Do i trust him with the clubs finances when it comes to transfers? Absolutely not (but i also don’t actually believe that the club would be stupid enough to do a deal like this for Twine on loan with an option to buy for £5mil in the summer).
  17. But to have the £3mil option after the loan, then surely we would be paying at least a million (you would assume) for the 6 months loan that we have him, then if we don’t exercise the option at least Burnley would look at it as having gained a million as they certainly won’t be letting him come on loan for nothing, so that would total (completely assuming here btw) a transfer fee of £4mil all in…..which in my opinion is far too much money for a player whose best season has not even been at this level. Seems mental to me, either buy him now or wait until the summer, a loan is pointless. If we were top 4 of the league then i could understand, but not in our currebt position
  18. It’s not harsh at all though, can you remember his stint as manager when he was involved in transfers? He’s great with the acadmey, but shouldn’t be in the job he currently has.
  19. A loan would be stupid, we have zero chance of winning the play-offs and very very unlikely to finish top 6. If it was a permanent deal for around £3mil in this window or the summer then fair play, but a loan in January (when we must assume we would be paying a fair wedge for it considering Burnley would be recalling him from Hull) then wow……we all know Tinnion is absolutely clueless (as his awful stint back in 2004/2005 shown) but this would seem a dumb way of using some of the finances that the club worked so hard on sorting over the past 3 years.
  20. An all day festival with apparently 2 stages was never going to attract anyone massive, at least not in todays standard. Ne-Yo was a very big name well over a decade ago. Don't think this is going to be for me, but i can imagine they will sell out easy enough.
  21. Wait until you see the replay (if you haven’t already)…….certainly not a red, but Conway doesn’t take his eyes off the defender, he knew what he was doing
