Agreed . Really disappointing turn out on NY Day for them . Awful , but really not helped by the cost of the ticket . -

We need Bell and Conway on for their pace . Nahki’s been passive so far . The game’s there for the taking if we’re brave ! -

Clear to see that we’re not a team that thrives on possession . We’ve beaten 3 attacking teams who were trying to win the game in recent weeks and Brums nervousness and lack of ambition seems to have stumped us ! -

Seriously wish the Robins TV commentator would actually commentate occasionally! I feel like I’m interrupting his cosy little chat with Mcrorie !! -
Brilliant ! That worked thanks . I was still sulking that I was going to miss “ Saturday” game against Hull last night when I realised we were playing Friday !! Result

My season card hasn’t yet renewed for the Hull game ( maybe because I missed the Sunderland game ) Anyone know how to refresh it ?
-
I agree . But in that interview he looks like a man who has just spent two seasons trying to keep a team up and is failing ! No manager should look like that after 6 weeks !
-
I agree to a point but he allowed himself to be flattered by a far bigger club than Oxford and didn’t consider the consequences it seems . Any idiot could have “ read the room “after Nige’s sacking and realised that this was a potential disaster waiting to happen . If was his choice to take the ££ so has to face the consequences sadly .

I can see the Coppell situation arising again here where he walks to protect himself .

I’m pretty sure there are thousands of fans who are so angry it’s already gone way past rational and considered support . It will kick off massively on Saturday if it goes badly and I wouldn’t be shocked to see Manning walk over the next couple of weeks . Not his fault ( entirely) but he should not be there. Much like the Chairman , he’s not qualified or experienced enough .
-
Never seen a Manager look so shell shocked after 7 games . Almost looked tearful at the start of that ! The poor guy has got carried away and has I fear , taken on a monster that’s gonna chew his arse off very quickly . I can see a very short tenure here !
-
Sounds like team moral has gone totally t@@s up ! I’ve never been so livid as a City fan as I am now . Had a season ticket for 20 years and barely missed a home game since 1977 but I really feel like I’ve had enough now .
-
And if we get rolled over by Sunderland on Saturday , the Chorus of “ One Nigel Pearson” will surely be heard . Can’t even imagine how that will feel for Liam Manning but pretty sure it’s coming his way very soon . Sorry Liam but you’ve been thrown under a bus by Junior with his old man behind the wheel ! Blind Ambition isn’t always a good thing buddy !

Dear Jon . Congratulations, you have sacked a popular manager who had managed at the very top level because your ego couldn’t handle your utter ineptitude being exposed by his experience and knowledge . In his place you appoint a total rookie who is rapidly appearing to be totally out of his depth and in danger of being swallowed whole by the brutal reality of a Division he’s neither played or managed in . Have the good grace to acknowledge that you are equally out of your depth because your ineptitude is about to undo 25 years of Daddy’s work .

We weren’t great but under NP we had a backbone and had become hard to beat . Very slowly Nige was making us better . This whole situation is the single biggest f@@@ up I’ve witnessed in nearly 50 years as a fan . It could prove to be catastrophic for us !

He’s committed career suicide coming here . Other owners won’t be impressed with him walking out on Oxford after 8 months . He’s walked into a shit show where the fans didn’t want him and it seems most of the playing squad didn’t . Add in his total lack of experience and he really has f@@@@d up coming here . This will end badly for everyone ………… except for Junior of course who seems to exist I. His own little version of The Truman show

Absolutely. We had a Premier league manager that was producing silk purses out of sows ears and we replaced him with a manager who was a total rookie in League 1 !!! Wtf were the board thinking ? -

If this score stays the same and QPR beat Plymouth tomorrow we’ll be right in a relegation battle . It wasn’t great but a few weeks ago when NP was still here we were all feeling optimistic and looking to the future positively . Hoping that Manning can turn it round but right now this appointment looks like a suicide mission by the board .- 1041 replies

There are too many individuals in life who constantly take the “high ground” on any debate in order to feel superior ( even if they actually agree with the point that’s being made by a grumbler/ ranter . ) Agreeing with the Grumbler would of course negate the warm feeling of superior intellect ! These individuals are known as a@@@@@@@s who simply don’t understand that we all need to be allowed a good rant now and again without being constantly re-educated by the likes of Matt on Bristol Live . Would he try to rationalise with his other half and educate her/ him as to their failings if they had a ranty five minutes ( and risk a missile being lobbed in his direction ) or would he sensibly just shut up , keep his head down and let them get it out of their system ? He needs to follow this ethos with us too !!!!
-
Can’t really argue with that ! Bet there’s not a footy fan in the country that wouldn’t instantly recognise that kit ! Can’t believe I’ve said this out loud
-
Mowbray too ! At this rate every side apart from the top two will be changing Manager this season ! Defo reckon the Championship ought to have a November “ transfer window” allowing clubs to swap managers and avoid massive pay offs
-
FFS !! I guessed as much but seriously , he has only ever worked on a help desk at his Dad’s firm before being forced upon us with absolutely NOTHING on his CV to justify it . That really is shameful
-
Genuine question but before joining the board here and then becoming Chairman of this Football club , what did JL do ? He’s only 38 and has been a board member for years but what exactly on his CV qualifies him to be Chair of a multi million pound organisation??
