I agree and would feel for him ! But if the next 3 games go badly , the atmosphere will turn toxic very quickly and he’ll feel every bit of it whichever direction it’s aimed at . Birmingham made a very similar decision and the Blues fans have turned on Rooney already . Will be no different here if our form mirrors theirs .

Rightly or wrongly it’s looking pretty clear that the Honeymoon period afforded by the fans will be extremely short given the nature of Mannings appointment. Could get messy very quickly with our next 3 games being Middlesbrough, Southampton and Norwich ! If he comes out of that sequence in one piece he’d have done well .

Utterly ludicrous appointment which now seems to be nailed on . Sacked by MK Dons following a run of 1 win in 11 games and we’ve decided he’s the next Eddie Howe after a dozen matches this season ! I really hope he proves all the doubters wrong but this feels more like a Johnson/Holden/Millen/Mciness keep everything crossed type of appointment to me !

My apologies Orange but I was under the impression that EVERY club in the country were forced to play to empty stadiums . BCFC were also bleeding money long before Covid arrived . Bottom line is the Lansdowns have spread themselves too thin with the Bristol Sport ego trip and are now trying to support 3 Clubs rather than 1. They’ve also created a monster that could be impossible to sell without a potentially catastrophic effect on the finances of Bristol Bears and Bristol Flyers .

They don’t JUST bankroll a business losing £300k per week ! They RUN a business losing £300k a week ! It’s down to them ! Why do so many Lansdown supporters constantly disassociate them from the losses ? There’s just no logic to that !

Do we know whether Euell and Rennie were also sacked or did they walk as a result of Nige’s sacking ? If the latter , this would suggest no such plan tbh. Also why hold on to Flemming and sack the others , if that’s what they did ?

I’d say that knowing the Lansdowns it will be Curtis Flemming until the end of the season if he can steady the ship over the next 3 games or so . There will be no re-invention of the wheel , just a continuation of what Pearson started . He’d be grateful for the opportunity and has become accustomed to working on a shoestring budget . Equally , did the board honestly get rid of Nige because of our form and league position ? Probably not after recent events so they’ll not be interested in a new broom approach .

Wow ! Funny how so many managers who stay at one club for many years , fail when they do move on ! Eg Ainsworth, Tisdale , Jones, Ferguson Jr, etc .

Holy Moly , that bench !! Bajic and Tommy are the veterans at the age of 21 and Tommy is the only player on that bench to have ever started a league game at any level I think . Thanks Steve !!

I think his only hope is for either a change of Manager or a move away in January . When teenagers with zero league experience at ANY level get picked ahead of you , either your days , or the Managers days , are numbered and right now it looks more like the latter .

Mehmeti wouldn’t get a game if he was the last sub available and we were going down to 10 men . Nige clearly doesn’t want to know him , which won’t enamour him to SL given we spent £1m + on him .

At they’re current rate of trajectory ( stretching their lead over 3rd by 1.2 points per game on avg) they’ll be officially promoted by the beginning of March

They’re operating at an entirely different level to the rest of the division . They actually spent nearly £40m on players for this season and generated over £200m income from sales . Nothing wrong with what they’ve done at all but nothing really highlights the have and have nots more than Leicester in this division!

My initial reaction to Nige’s comments and the rumours of his impending departure was outrage at the thought that we could even think about moving him out . In the cold light of day however I can see why the board seem to have seen enough . We have a no doubt highly paid Manager who , throughout his tenure has been frequently absent from either training or matches or indeed both . All of the coaching appears to be done by Flemming and Euell . Most pressers are done by Flemming too . This all raises the question as to why we’re paying Nige to do half a job again and are we sat in 8th DESPITE Nige rather than because of him . When looking at it from the clubs perspective rather than a fan’s , you can see where they may be coming from !

Personally I’m dreading tomorrow ! Have a horrible feeling we’re going to do the unthinkable and pull the trigger based on “ irreconcilable differences” rather than anything on the pitch . No inside knowledge , just a gut feeling after Nige’s blast in their direction yesterday !

I’m genuinely concerned that the ref is having issues with his vision here ! He just seems to have to guess almost every decision ! Absolutely shocking and bizarre performance .

It does make you wonder if promotion to the Prem actually results in 50% of your die hard fanbase no longer able to attend Matches and being replaced by corporates etc . Who , other than football tourists can afford these prices even on an occasional basis ? ( And we still debate why the atmosphere at English grounds is crap these days ???) I’ve been a passionate supporter for 45 years and am reasonably comfortable financially thankfully , but not in a million years could I justify spending this on football !

Article on the BBC website saying that the Women’s team are dreading having to wear these shirts for obvious reasons ! Having said that , they’ve sold 38000 tickets for this weekend game against Man Utd Women at Villa Park .

Being a football fan is a bit like playing a great computer game . Most will keep going with it to try to get to that next level and some actually manage to complete the game ……. But then what ? Not so sure about Leicester but Man City fans are now at the completed computer game stage . Only have to hear the polite applause at the Etihad today when they scored against Forest . Personally I think “trying” is far more fun than being the absolute best of the best !!

Can’t believe we’ll have 3 out at the same time with ACL injuries ! Never even heard of an ACL until Gazza “pioneered “the injury and now it seems to be happening in droves !
