  1. Excited to have someone come in with a fresh pair of eyes on the squad and some new ideas. It's desperately needed. I like his stern but fair demeanour, probably overdue a bit of that as well. His teams always look well drilled and he should have the respect of the players before he's walked in the door. It's a sound appointment, even if only short term.
  2. That appointment should keep this thread ticking over nicely.
  3. Thought the effort was there but we looked out of ideas, lost and lacking any confidence at all.
  4. Not missed a game this season. You've got to be there through the bad times to appreciate the mediocre times.
  5. If we can get Lansbury and Palmer on the ball in their half, we might actually create some chances for a change. Good luck to Sessegnon.
  6. Yep, it's good stuff. Had me in tears quite a few times. Might have to revist it. The classic "I could eat a knob at night"!
  7. All that proves is people read far too much into social media. Some people just seem obsessed with it.
  8. The thing i like about Bakinson is he always wants to play forward. He's got that vision to hit a first time creative pass. I dont think you can coach that into a player. Perhaps when and how to do it can be coached but he's got a really nice natural game. Certainly more to come from him.
  9. It is. Likewise, off to the pictures if you're going to the cinema.
  10. Radio 6 - Steve Lamacq for me, plays a bit of everything. That and sport on RB as far as BBC radio is concerned. R2 went downhill years ago.
  11. Feel sorry for him. Good bloke, really difficult task this season. Never even got to manage us in front of some home support. Obviously the right decision but i do feel as sad as i do relived tonight. All the very best of luck for the future Dean and genuinely, thanks for your efforts.
  12. Not resigning but i guess delivering the news to the players and staff that he was told it was lose tonight and you're sacked.
  13. 2 over hit crosses is all we could muster in that half. The energy and workrate is there but we are all over the place.....again!

    Who?

It was genuine but i to dismissed it. Guess we just have to wait and see.

I'm never in the know about anything but was told in some confidence by a family member that does have an 'in' at the club that Eddie Howe was having a year out but would be taking up the job this summer, hence the 1 year rolling contract for Holden. Glorified caretaker if you will. One remit, keep us in the division. All with the possibility of returning to the coaching team once that was achieved and Howe in place. I took it with a massive pinch of salt and not given much thought since but putting it out there. I think Howe's stock would be much higher and he's out of our leag
  16. Realistically, he's probably going to be unemployed by this time next week and that would certainly be the right decision if do lose these next 2. Until then though, full support required. It's been as tough a season to manage us as i can ever recall. I don't enjoy the sarcastic 'great human being' digs, the blokes trying his best and needs us behind him. As he said, nothing has ever come easy in his life and i can relate to that. Support from people that care helps to get you through those difficult times and there doesn't seem to be a lot of that about on here right now. Fully
  17. Not used it for a couple of months but this one has worked fine for live commentary on Radio Bristol. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=radio.fm.online
  18. Gone to Port Vale by all accounts.
  19. Hmmm, looks like it could be Northampton then if the Post are correct...
  20. I think the majority of their fans would welcome him back like some kind of messiah. It would amuse me to see him go to Northampton instead but i don't think he would walk away for them, almost certain to be back at the fewers.
  21. Where's the aubergine when you need it.
  22. Looked as honest as always but nervous to me.
  23. Didn't and did see that one coming. Sad times Hope something good comes out of this, whatever that may be.
